Removal of excess Penetrant After the specified dwell time penetrant shall be removed by repeated wiping with lint free material or absorbent paper, till the traces of penetrant has been removed. Care shall be taken to minimize removal of penetrant from discontinuities. Remaining traces can be removed by lightly wiping the surface with damped cloth or absorbent paper moistened with cleaner. (Surface flushing with solvent is prohibited.)
