RECRUITMENT OF STENOGRAPHER GRADE-II Advt. No. ADM/2012-13/15 The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India. The Institute proposes to fill up two posts of Stenographer Grade II on direct recruitment basis in the Pay Band 1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 plus allowances. Applications are invited from citizens of India for filling up two posts of Stenographer Grade II under Administrative Services of the Institute. and other requirements for the post are as under:

12 Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University Skill Test Norms: Stenography Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. in English and Hindi. For transcription of Dictation 65 minutes in English and 75 minutes in Hindi (On Manual Typewriter) OR

minutes in Hindi will be allowed on Computer.

Age:

Between 18 and 27 years as on 15th May 2013.

General Conditions:

1. Candidates who qualify in Hindi Stenography Test will be called for Stenography Test in English. Candidates who qualify in English Stenography test will be called for interview before the Selection Committee of the Institute. Merit for selection will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in English Stenography Test and marks scored in the Interview.

2. The headquarter is Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun However, the selected candidate would be liable to serve at any location decided by the Institute as per functional needs.

Selected candidate would also be required to work as Dealing Assistant. Relaxation in age limit for SC and ST candidates up to 5 years and for OBC candidates for 3 years shall be in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time. Relaxation in age limit upto 40 years

for Govt. servants and Departmental candidates of Wildlife Institute of India will also be allowed.

Candidates working in Government/ Autonomous Bodies/ Universities should submit their applications through proper channel together with a certificate duly signed by the employer/forwarding authority. They may, however, send an advance copy of the application, in the prescribed format, complete in all respects, including postal order/Bank Draft by the due date.

Candidates will have to produce proof of details furnished in their applications at the time of interview and as and when required. Applications received after the due date, without requisite fee, unsigned applications, incomplete applications and applications not in prescribed format are liable to be rejected. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. Mere fulfillment of the minimum advertised qualification requirement does not automatically entitles an applicant to be called for Stenography Test. The short listed candidates as per recommendations of the Screening Committee of Wildlife Institute of India will be called for Stenography Test.

No correspondence will be entertained either in regard to call for skill test, interview and/or selection. It may be noted that if, at any stage, it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal or misrepresent the facts, his/her candidature may be summarily rejected and his/her employment terminated. The date for determining the age limit/experience/qualifications shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of applications. The decision of the Institute in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual or his/her agency.

How to Apply: (i) The applications should be sent in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-1) (neatly hand-written or typed out in A-4 size paper 210x297 mm) alongwith a crossed Indian Postal Order/Bank Draft of the value of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only) drawn in favour of Director, Wildlife Institute of India, Payable at Dehradun. Fee is non-refundable. No fee for SC/ST candidates is payable Applications should be accompanied by self attested copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications, experience, and claim of belonging to SC/ST/OBC etc. The original certificates would be required at the time of skill test/interview.
