SECTION B MASTERY OF KNOWLEDGE

MY EXPERIENCE AS A PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER. School is a treasure to gain knowledge for all the people. Teacher has a big role and responsibility to change the generation to be a better person. Some people say that being a teacher is a difficult profession and comes with many challenges and I want to share my experience as a teacher in primary school. My first school is SK Teluk Medan. Every day I go to school by motorcycle. I taught there for almost five years. Atfirst, I was not so happy teaching there but a few weeks later I could adapt with the surrounding. The most important thing was my colleagues were very friendly and helpful. They were willing to help me as I was new in that school. The school has 450 Malay students. I was so happy because as an Islamic teacher, I could pour my knowledge and helped them to learn local cultural environment such as language and proper way of moderation life. The headmaster also was very committed. That made me eager and excited to go to school. Moreover at that time I was single and had no commitment. Every evening, I make murals and landscape the school. The school became more cheerful and totally different. Some students of SK Teluk Medan have not been used to make prayer so I took that as a challenge as I am an Islamic teacher. I did a program to overcome that problem and after two months the program was succeed with the help of other committed teachers. It was a memorable moment in my life that I would never forget. After that I was transferred to SK JalanBaru. In there, I was able to gain experience and knowledge. That is my story as a teacher in primary school. I promise to myself that I will always give the best for my students and also my country.
