Daddy, please tell me the story of Harry Potter again! Please!

Arthur Weasley smiled tiredly at his youngest child, his only daughter, Ginny, who was bouncing up and down, as if the fact that it was nearly midnight didnt come across her mind. I dont know, Gin. Its pretty late, he said wearily, stifling a yawn. Ginevra Molly Weasley peered up at him with those big, beautiful round eyes much like her mothers. She pouted dramatically, giving her father her signature puppy dog look, the one she used often to convince her brothers to do something. At the sight of her eyes, Arthur knew he was done for. He couldnt resist. So he picked her up, put her on her rickety bed, and lay next to her, clasping his hands over his slightly round stomach. Fine, Gin. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, an evil Dark Wizard, was at the height of his power, until that fateful day, where he would meet Harry James Potter. Now Harry, a mere little one year old he started, and launched the two of them into the legendary story about the baby boy that stopped You-Know-Who quicker than anyone wouldve imagined. Ginny, who had already heard the story many times before, asked questions, though she knew the answers. Her brown eyes were filled with awe at the boy shed never even met. About thirty minutes later, Arthur finished his story. Ginny was curled up in her blankets, smiling. You know Dad, Im gonna marry him one day, she said confidently. Arthur nearly choked, looking at her with confusion. Marry him? Ginny, dear, you dont even know him, he spluttered. Ginny nodded, but kept smiling. I know, Dad! But one day, Im gonna meet him, and were going to get married! Her father nodded slowly, but in his mind, shaking his head, ultimately sure it wouldnt happen. He kept those thoughts to himself, though, not wanting to put down his daughter. Getting up from her bed, he wished her goodnight and sweet dreams. The next morning, the boys and Ginny thundered down the stairs for breakfast. Arthurs lovely wife, Molly, had finished cooking breakfast, and was setting the food down on the plates. Good morning! she said cheerfully, as they began eating. Good morning, they replied, through mouthfuls of eggs, bacon, and toast. The kitchen table was silent for a few moments, until Ginny piped up, looking excited. Im going to marry Harry Potter! she declared. The room got even quieter, and Fred dropped his fork, shocked. Gin, thats ridiculous, laughed George, causing her other brothers (with the exception of Charlie, who was the closest to her) to chime in with laughter as well.

Charlie shot his brothers an evil look, kicking them under the table. He turned to Ginny, whose face had become a bright red from embarrassment. Comfortingly, he rubbed his sisters back. Dont listen to them, Gin. Theyre just jealous, he said. Fred snorted. Jealous of what? That she is able to set her sights higher than all of you with more confidence than the lot of you combined. I saw you staring at that blondie yesterday, Bill, dont try to deny it. If Ginny here was a guy, shed have more balls than all of you! laughed Charlie. Ginny looked up appreciatively at her older brother, laughing along with him. Bill turned red, as his mother rounded on him. You were staring at a girl?! she screeched. After breakfast, Ginny talked quietly with Charlie in the living room, doing chores. Do you think Im being stupid, Charlie? she asked earnestly. Her brother paused, and turned to look at her, putting an arm around the younger childs shoulders. No, Gin. But you know what I think? Ginny raised an eyebrow. What? I think, that if you truly will marry Harry Potter, that he would be a very lucky chap to have such a fine lady like you, he said, smiling. Ginnys face broke out into happiness. Dyou really think so? I know so.

Its the same every year, packed with Muggles. Cmon you lot! Platform Nine and Three-Quarters this way! said their mother. Charlie walked alongside Percy, accompanying his siblings who were on their way to Hogwarts. Sadly, this year, he would not be boarding the train, seeing as he had graduated the year before. He held Ginnys small hand in his as they walked briskly through Kings Cross Station. Come on, Percy, you first, said his mother, and Percy ran through the platform barrier, disappearing onto the other side. You next, Fred, she said, pointing at one of the twins. Hes not Fred, I am! exclaimed the other. Honestly, woman. You call yourself our mother, said the other, shaking his head. She rolled her eyes. Sorry, dear. As the twins each went through the barrier, Charlie followed, but not before seeing a rather scrawnylooking boy approach his mum.

He helped the twins get their luggage on the train, and saw the black haired boy shoot out of the barrier, looking frightened. Smiling kindly at him, he helped the boys luggage on the train. First time? he asked knowingly. The boy nodded vigorously and politely thanked Charlie for taking care of his trunk. No problem. Have a great year at Hogwarts. His mother soon sent his brothers off. Suddenly, Fred and George bolted out of the train, standing at the door. Mum! We saw Harry Potter! Fred exclaimed. Molly tried hiding her surprise, but was unsuccessful. Then sternly, she gently pushed them back onto the train. Go get seats! she called. Charlie watched his sister, who was beaming. Harry Potter? Mum, can I go see him? Please! she asked desperately. Molly turned on her youngest child, crossing her arms. Now, Ginny, we musnt make the boy feel like a caged animal! But Mum! No buts, Ginny. Maybe you can see him next year.

Throughout the year, they had received numerous letters from Ron. Ginny was always excited to hear them, hoping that there would be a mention of Harry Potter. Hes best mates with him, Charlie! Best mates! she would squeal happily. He would just smile back, patting her on the back encouragingly. More luck for you, then, Gin, he said wearily. It soon came time for Ron to come back home from school, and when he did, Charlie was nearly crazy with all of the heroic stories he rattled off about nearly every day. He was almost happy when hed received his acceptance letter into a Romanian Dragon Facility, thankful that he wouldnt have to listen to all of the stories over and over again. Almost happy. His little sister hugged him tightly. Promise to send letters? she asked him, pleadingly. Only if you promise to reply, he responded, grinning.
