Whats in the tank?

Still one of the best in the league.

Last of a four-game road trip. Second game of a back-to-back.

Off-night in Los Angeles, but still a strength.

sam gagner

Probably a coach-of-the year candidate.

OVERALL
One of leagues elite.

PLUS
The Oilers can pull themselves back to within a win of a playoff spot with a victory over the Ducks. The target seems to have changed for the Oilers as it appears the Detroit Red Wings and not the St. Louis Blues are the team to catch The Oilers still have one of the top power-play units in the league, despite connecting just once on the man advantage in their last two games.

MINUS
Having been in a playoff spot at the start of their four-game road trip, the Oilers are in danger of falling out of the race with a loss to the Ducks. The Oilers currently sit four-points back of the fourth-and-final playoff spot in the Western Conference, having lost two straight. The Oilers have also slipped to 10th place in the conference standings, behind the Phoenix Coyotes.
