Understandings
Participants will understand that: Incorporating technology in the classroom is important for students Including technology can mean branching out to new technological advances. There are technology standards. The Web 2.0 tool, Prezi, is a useful, fun, and simple way to incorporate technology into lessons.

Related Misconceptions: Integrating technology into lesson plans is too time consuming. Integrating technology into lesson plans is not worth the effort.

Stage 2 Evidence Performance Task(s)


Goal: To instruct teachers in designing an aesthetically pleasing and academically effective prezi presentation and for those teachers to be able to do this independently Role: The instructor of this class will facilitate the use and engagement of the Prezi program Audience: administrators and teachers of various levels and subject areas from the Bleckley County School System Situation: Teachers need a new and innovative way to engage students in the classroom Product Performance and Purpose: Teachers and administrators will be able to use Prezi to replace current products of instruction to bring fresh perspective to their students Standards and Criteria for Success: Teachers must create a useful Prezi presentation for use in their respective classrooms.

Students Self-reflection and Assessment


After creating a Prezi presentation based on an appropriate standard according to what she teaches, participants will reflect on the process and whether it will be useful in their respective classes. The participant will then revise as needed to ensure that the presentation will be beneficial to the best of their knowledge. Later, after using the Prezi in class, the participant will reflect again on the ease of use and usefulness of the Prezi during an actual lesson.
