As we have quite a wide audience spectrum to accommodate, I thought it would be better to group the target ages in decades, not only to save time but to make it easier for the respondents to find their appropriate age group. I took the liberty of finding as many different ages as I could to make sure I had a good amount of opinions from different people at differing stages of their lives. What is your gender?

I felt it was appropriate to include this question because I felt it would be wrong to ignore the results I got from people who answered no to this question. Here I decided to go for the most common interests within the spiritual community. As we can see, Mediumship/ Clairvoyance got the most amount of votes, which is greatly beneficial to me as this is the platform on which Im basing the final video. Its interesting how the Witchcraft option comes second, and gives me an idea that I should include some elements of it in my final film.

I wanted to know how many of my respondents actually put some of the aforementioned aspects into practise, such as Tarot Card reading and Reiki, as some of this may feature in the video. I believe that if people I aim the video at people who do use spirituality in a practical way, it will have a better impact because the video is introducing a new practical approach to an area within spirituality. This graph is interesting to me because again Mediumship and Clairvoyance has proved the most popular. This is beneficial however as it shows that I am along the right lines with this project, as my client is a Medium and Clairvoyant, so if I have an overall majority from my respondents that they practise the same thing, I am likely to gain their interests more so than if my client only developed the idea without any background on other spiritual subjects.

I wanted to know whether my respondents used their skills in their spare time or if they have made a career out of it, though this video could be used for both purposes- i.e. using the self-help for just you, or passing the knowledge on to others through their jobs. What interests me about this is the fact that more people use these skills for leisure rather than for the purposes of making an income. This may be due to the fact that a lot of these may require people to work on a self-employed basis, which can mean an irregular cash flow. I think, if I could go out and do this survey again, I would probably change this question a bit to allow for those who may do this as a side job whilst in permanent employment. This indicates that the video is more likely to be a success, as if people are more open-minded to a newer way of doing things then my client as a better chance of getting noticed by not only other spiritual people but also

people who are in this industry but may have more of a following, who could help her get recognised for what she does. If no, why?

I wanted to know why people may not want to see a new take on self-help, hence why I included this question. What cropped up most was the fact that they thought spirituality should stick to its traditions, which in a way I can understand, as if something new comes in and either isnt as good or gives spirituality a bad name then not only will it look bad on spiritual individuals but also on the entire industry. This makes me think that we should be quite careful how we word certain things within the video, which I will detail more in a few questions time. The reason I asked this question was because I wanted to know what was most likely to offend my audience, and how I can avoid it. It seems the most offensive thing I could do would be to either mock traditions or to mock Deities that people believe in, so I will make sure to avoid all of the above, in hope that it will create a more successful and popular video.
