Crates: When broken, they yield items. Treasure Chests: Same as Crates. Crystals: Same as Crates. Gathering Spots: They're spots with a small green "aura". You can harvest multip le items here until the spot runs out. Status Conditions These are a series of different status conditions a target will go through accor ding to their state. In this condition, the target is unable to dash. Multiplayer Lord of Arcana has an ad-hoc multiplayer mode. This means that you can only play with another person who is sitting next to you OR online if you use Ad-hoc Part y (PS3) or Xlink Kai (PC) in conjunction with your PSP. The changes from single player to multiplayer are as follows: Results screen time is longer. More targets are needed to collect/hunt in missions. Master Guardians have more HP. There are enemy reinforcements in battle even without existing enemies calling f or them. Initiating battle causes everyone in the area to be involved. The middle Melee Duel requires every party members' participation. The finisher Melee Duel is split up; party members take turns doing the QTE. Friendly Fire is introduced--you can be knocked around by Coup de Grace and Uppe rcut but no damage is suffered. Items can be given to other members from the Start Menu. Lives are shared. As you start dying and the time counts down to your next revival you can press T riangle to alert other players of your status. Before an member dies another can revive them using Life Injection. Hold Triangl e down over the corpse and HP will be cut in half and distributed amoung the par ticipating members. A party member in battle is able to call for other party members to join them in the fray (if they aren't already participating) using the Start button. You can only escape from a Master Guardian battle if all party members are tryin g to escape. Playing in Multiplayer is typically harder and more time consuming than if one w ere to play alone. Why then, play online? It's easier to break parts on Master Guardians. You'll get a bigger payoff in the end for each mission: more EXP and materials. Firelances are safer now that you have other allies that can distract the enemy and act as tanks. Tips After 03 - Agni Invades, craft the Eye of the Gods. Equip it and you'll be able to lock on to breakable parts on a boss or weak points saving you the trouble of manually orienting your strikes. Every time you come back from a mission, search the whole town and gather materi als. Most of the time these materials will be Clean Water which is crucial for m aking Potions. When you roll, dodge INTO the enemy so that you'll be ready to launch a countera ttack afterwards. Don't forget that you'll be vulnerable at the end so don't use it too soon. When escaping, run straight into the boundry to initiate the action. Then, run d iagonally so you'll slide to the side, allowing you to dodge some attacks while still running. Things to keep in mind

This guide will be written as if the player is playing alone and NOT with someon e else Enemies respawn so when doing missions that require you to kill multiple enemies try leaving and reentering the area you were just in. Rolling your analog while your stunned will make you recover faster. You can use your ultamite spell as a way to recover faster and then rolling to c ancel without using it. Ambushing the enemy will give you an attack boost but if you're the one being am bushed then you're defense will decrease. Missions Prologue 00 - Prologue Mission: Don't pick up any of the treasure chests--you'll end up l osing them by the end of this mission anyway. Just follow the key icons in the s creen and destroy all guardians while proceeding to the opened gates. At the end , kill Nidhogg. When you need to talk to the guild, approach the white haired woman behind the c ounter next to the blonde haired woman to start. Chapter 1 01 - Entrance Exam: Raid Area 2, 3, 6. 02 - Goblin Treasure: Get into an encounter with every Goblin you see. For each encounter they'll randomly drop a chest that has a Red Stone in it. Repeat this for five times (or more for extra money) then return to the Delivery Box marked by the "house" symbol and click O. 03 - Agni Invades: Ignore all enemies and head straight for Agni. He occassional ly switches from Area 6 and 9. Agni: All of his attacks hit forward so throughout the whole battle, stay behind him unless Agni is spiraling the stage in a rolling attack. To avoid that attac k, wait until he's about to do his last revolution then charge to the center. Chapter 2 04 - Adventurer's Soul: Skeletons are the monsters with the red clothing. They a ppear in Area 1 and 5. Defeat the Guardian in Area 6 then look for the last Skel eton in Area 6. The boss resides in Area 3 or 5. Takemikazuchi: Like Agni, you can avoid most of his assault by staying at his ba ck. There's only two attacks that can hit you this way and that's his thunder cl ap that inflicts Mini (no damage) and his charge which will only hit from behind if you're too close to him. Chapter 3 08 - Baby Xuan Wu: The Baby Xuan Wu are green turtle-like monsters that appear i n Area 2, 6, and 8. 09 - Find Mandrake: They pretty much look like green onions, occasionally they'l l have an aura of healing. They appear in Area 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 (not in that order) and blend in well with the enviroment so look carefully. If you don't kill them quick enough they will summon drake shades so if you have a hard time killing d rake shades run from the battle and re-engage the mandrakes 10 - Earth-Loving Kirin: Kill the Guardian in Area 9. You should get a message t elling you the target has appeared. After that, look for what looks like a rainb ow colored monster that looks like a cross between a chick, a peacock, and a hor

Head to Area 3 or 5 t o confront him. 12 - Bahamut Attacks: Defeat the Guardian that's typically at the bottom (map-wi se) at Area 1. Be sure to activate the gate that connects to Area 5 for easy access on subsequent runs. Bahamut: Stay at his right side, somewhat close but not next to his tail. If you 're in this position, don't panic when he does his tail whip as it'll just miss. Keep a safe distance so you also don't get hit by his flip and all should be we ll. When he charges at you, dodge to your left and when he throws out Mega Flare don't underestimate it's range--the shockwaves are huge and fatal. If you still have trouble, you can switch to the Firelance and snipe him from afar while usi ng Artillery when you have enough Pulse. Once you defeat a Griffin it should drop a chest with the Glittering Stone inside, bring it back to the delivery box in area 1 and you're done with the quest. 14 - Inhuman Rampage: Use the teleporter in area to get to area 8 then go to are a 7 and use the teleporter there to get to area 2. Once in area 2 kill the guard ian there and it'll unlock area 3, kill the guardian there too and the target sh ould appear in area 8. Take the teleporter in area 2 back to area 7 then go back to area 8 to find the drake shade, it looks like a dragon with someone on top o f it. 15 - Winged Dragon: Bahamut will appear in area 4 or 5, this time he'll be with a skeleton 16 - Twin-Head Snake: Defeat the guardian in area 7. Azdajha will be in area 5. If you have the Agni ultimate card now what be a good time to use it. If you don 't have it then you'll have to destroy her 2 snake heads first. They will rise u p from the ground and stike back down, this will keep them in place for awhile g iving you time to get in a few hits. Once she isn't underground anymore just kee p attacking her, the safest place to attack her from is from behind. If she does an attack where she digs into the ground after 2 or 3 times she'll be stunned le aving you a chance to attack. She does have a move where she puts her 2 snake he ads into the ground and does a spinning attack to hit everything around her so b e ready to move or block if you see it coming. Chapter 5 17 - Bog Dumplings: Green slime can be found in area 7. If you use up y our items getting to Vermillion then restock with the items that are on the floo t where Vermillion is. Vermillion: When Vermillion teleports he will reappear to the side of you and do a attack. To dodge this just run and hit him once he's done. Another thing Verm illion can do is make clones of himself and they'll shoot fireballs at you. Don' t attack the clones, they'll blow up, do a lot of damage, and once they're done blowing up he'll do a attack that can 1 hit kill you if you don't block it.
