Procedures Greeting Students greet the teacher; Jingle and Sharing Book Session (3) Grouping (5) - Teacher group students into 3 big groups using Puzzle: 1. The teacher will distribute pieces of 3 pictures to students. 2. All students are asked to find every piece that has spread out and then compile them become a complete picture by finding their friends who have the same pieces of the picture. 3. The students who successfully compile the pieces of the picture become a complete picture will be work in one group

Elicitation (5) Rearrange the paragraph 1. The teacher distributes vignettes to the students in the group. 2. Students are asked to put the vignette into a good order to get a text 3. Students are asked to read the text and get some information from it Todays Agenda (2) - The teacher asks students to guess out todays topic - The teacher explains the material for todays learning and also the lesson objective(s) that must be achieved by the students Pre-writing 1. The teacher distributes reading material to the students. The topic is about reading strategies: skimming and scanning (2). 2. The teacher assigns students to read the text and discuss the differences and the similarities between those two reading strategies in group(5) 3. The teacher asks students to mention words they do not understand (3) 4. The teacher and students discuss the differences and similarity between skimming and scanning. (5) Main Activity 1. The teacher asks students to read 8 texts that already stuck on the wall using skimming and scanning strategies. 2. Students are asked to note some information that they get from those texts. 3. Students in a group will do it in turn

Post activity Competition: - 1st Session a. Students in the group are asked to answer 8 questions in the form of MULTIPLE CHOICE which are related to the 8 text that they have read b. Every student in a group should answer at least 1 question. c. If students have answered all the answer in the 1st session, they have to give the answer sheet to the teacher to get another 8 questions in the 2nd session. - 2nd Session a. The same rules with the 1st session, but the question will be in the form of TRUE and FALSE - 3rd session a. The same rules with the 1st session, but the question will be in the form of ESSAY A group that can finish first the 1st and 2nd session will be the winner Closing/review The teacher asks students about what they have learnt from todays meeting The teacher asks students to write the students reflection on a piece of paper 1.
