Working as a studio technical operator, I was in a better position to perform the following tasks in the best of my dignity and integrity; Compilation of commercials so as to ensure continuity and punctual play out of scheduled broadcast programming as entered in the daily transmission schedule. Video editing/ program editing. Entailed editing segments of motion video footage, special effects and sound recordings in the post-production process. PROFILE Elijah Mwangi sat for his Kenya Certificate Primary Education (K.C.P.E) in Arch Bishop Gitare Academy- Njuki-ini in the year 2003. He later joined Lenana School- Nairobi in 2004. During the four (4) years in Lenana School, Elijah displayed excellent academic ability as well as involvement in co-curricular activities. Elijah was an active hockey player and in 2007, he was given a medallion as an honor/award for being the best in Hillcrest open Hockey tournament. He also participated actively in activities organized by the Christian Union and peer counseling society. At the end of the four years in Secondary school, he managed a mean grade of B+ and was admitted for Bsc. Communication and Public Relations at Moi University- Kabianga campus in the year 2009. While in the University, Elijah developed a passion for leadership and as a first year, he was appointed by the Students Governing Council (SGC) to serve as a sub editor in the Campus Students Editorial Board. In the same year, he was elected to be the coordinator -Human Resource Development Students Association which draws its membership from students in all years of study pursuing Human Resource Management and Communication and Public Relations. While in the second year of study, Elijah was elected to serve as the Secretary General in the Arts Society of Kabianga. (A registered club for nurturing and building talents of students interested in various genres ranging from drama and narrative, song and dance, debate and public speaking, essay writing and poetry). During the same year, he was also elected using a vote of simple majority to be the Legal affairs Secretary of the Central and Eastern Students Welfare Association (C.E.S.W.A). Perhaps it was after taking these leadership positions that the campus administration acknowledged the noble role Elijah played in leadership. In the same academic year 2010/2011, Elijah was appointed to serve as the Editor in-chief in the Students Governing Council. (The role of the Editor in chief is to preside over as the Chairman of the Campus Students Editorial Board which is the Students press.) During his term as the Editor in Chief, Elijah was able have a milestone that was history by its making. This was characterized by the publication of the first ever students official magazine in the University The Sentinel. The magazine was launched by Prof. Ole Kiyiapi, P.S Ministry of Education on 10th March 2011. Out of campus, Elijah has also exhibited his leadership and team player abilities in the corporate world. In 2010 (May September), Elijah was the head of marketing in Wisemen Trainers and Consultants Limited- Nairobi (A collaborating centre of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology- Malaysia). At this time he was in liaison with Media companies such as Fontana media, Integral media and Metro fm (House of Reggae) during the marketing campaigns. Elijah, who has personal interests in public speaking and debates, is also an inspirational speaker who does these campaigns in organized forums and gatherings. He has also been the students voice in many consultative forums. Currently, being a second year finalist, Elijah is attached to one of the leading media houses in Kenya; Royal Media Services.
