Boiler Construction

Material of construction
Shell & furnace platesplates- SA 515/516 Gr 70 CS pressure vessel plates for medium & high temperature service. Plain & stay tubestubes- confirming to BS 3059 Valve body _ carbon steel WCB with flanged end connections. Fusible plugplug- Alloy comprising of Tin, Lead & antimony

Boiler mountings
Water gauge glasses mountingsmountings- consists of steam side cock & water side cock, level glass, protector & drain lines. Pressure gaugegauge- Bourdon pressure gauge 10 dia. dial with a range: 00-25 Kg/cm2 Safety valves 40 x 80: spring loaded full lift safety relief valvevalve- 2 Nos. Feed check valvevalve- plate type mounted on feed pump discharge Main steam stop valvevalve- Globe type mounted on boiler drum

FD fanfan- back ward curved centrifugal blower with 105 CMM capacity with static pressure of 500 mm of wg. wg. Operated by 20 HP induction motor. Oil feed pumppump- internal gear type oil pump with a capacity of 1000 lph with operating pressure of 30 Kg/cm2

Oil preheating unitunit- Dual operated with electrical & steam oil pre_heater with shell & tube type heat exchanger Oil pre_filter pre_filter- Bucket type filter with a standby Burner assemblyassembly- pressure jet type burner with auto regulating arrangement to meet load requirement. Modulating unitunit- Step less modulating unit with a turn down ratio of 4:1 regulating the air fuel requirement of various load requirement

Feed water treatment


Feed water treated by filtering through sand filter bed. Then it passed through cat ion exchange bedbed- water becomes soft. All ca, Mg salts are converted into sodium based salt. Then the dosing chemicals are added and it is stored in the 10KL storage tank. From storage tank it feeds to boiler through feed pump.
