Alvas Education Foundation (AEF) brings to you Pragati-2013, the annual placement event, which is to be held on May 11, and 12 at the Vidyagiri Campus, Moodbidri. AEF has more than 17,000 students and 19 institutions under its banner offering undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses in various disciplines. AEF has been committed to the cause creating employment opportunities for the rural youth who go unnoticed as they have limited access to employment markets. The main objective of the placement drive is to create opportunities by bringing together the corporate world and the young, un-harnessed talent (aspirants) of the rural hinterland of Dakshina Kannada and its adjoining districts face to face. The salient features of Pragati-2013 are: 1) The Corporate Career Profiling (CCP) which is possible because of on-line registration of candidates. The relevant information is captured from the aspirants during the registration process and then aligned with the companys requirements. The companies therefore can focus on their target segment leading to an effective recruitment and selection process.

2) On the day of the drive, colour coding is done to enable the candidates to identify the companies where they can apply and attend the selection process.

3) Employment Enhancement Center wherein career counselors are assigned to guide students to their most suitable job description(s) offered by the companies.

4) Free Services and Amenities. To ensure a hassle free recruitment and selection process, interview rooms of more than 1000 sq ft., on-line test centre, seminar halls, document processing centre, clarity wall, free transport and accommodation, etc. will be available to you at the venue. The AEF campus has a capacity to accommodate more than 500 companies at the same time. 5) Free registration for both companies and students.

Last years Pragati witnessed an unprecedented success with more than 150 companies visiting the campus and more than 3000 students being selected for various job positions in the corporate sector. We expect 20000 students from 500 colleges to attend Pragati-2013.
