Hi everyone at Denbigh, They couldn't stand to wait until I got there to let the water go in the irrigation canal. On Saturday they blocked off the river and let the water flow in the canal. Here they have backed off and only have a third of the flow but it is more water than the gardens will ever handle. It will also divert the whole river around the dam that needs repairing so we can fix it. The irrigation canals that this work starts to replace have not worked since Hurricanes Hannah and Ike about three years ago. The dam that used to divert the water into the irrigation canals washed out underneath so they could not irrigate. This work solves the problem for some and is part of the road back for others. Pictures show various shots of the irrigation canal as well as one shot of a garden that is waiting for irrigation water and will look completely different in a few months. They found they have some dirt to remove to make the water go all the way to the garden and will get on it this week so they can really irrigate. But everyone is excited including us. Thanks for your help in keeping us here in Haiti. In Christ, Bruce

The Adult I Sunday School class began a new quarter on Sunday, March 3, with a study in both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. Topics to be studied include the Kingdom of God, Resurrection Hope (during the Easter season), and a Call to Holy Living. The study will consist of readings in Daniel, Luke, 1&2 Thessalonians, and 1&2 Peter. If, like many of us, your knowledge of almost anything is greater than your knowledge of the Bible, this class is a great way to start overcoming that. And it may change your life. Please consider joining in on Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the Conference Room.
The Adult II Sunday School class is an informal, round table discussion covering frequently changing topics. Subjects include contemporary news events as they may relate to biblical passages and conversation on various Bible themes. Future possible discussions may be based on selected literary readings or materials presented on various electronic media. Class members are encouraged to suggest topics for future presentation. The constantly changing round table discourse is designed to enlighten our appreciation of Gods work both in the past and in todays ever changing society. Bob Burroughs is teaching this class.

The Life Membership is presented to a woman who has served the church through Presbyterian Women and has given of herself in the service of Christ. Helen Thiessen presented the award to Frances and reflected upon her amazing attitude as she faced and survived cancer, her constant willingness to serve in the church and the blessing she brings her circle and everyone she encounters. Congratulations, Frances. We thank you for all you have done and will continue to do as a leader in the Presbyterian Women at DPC. Pictured here are Frances, her husband Eddie and their son Michael
