PREPARATION OF RESUME

AIM:
To prepare a resume using MS-Word.

PROCEDURE:
To go to MS-word click the MS-Word icon in the Desktop. Click New from the file menu to create a new document Bio data can be typed with the help of the key board Type the various details like Name, Address, Qualification, Hobby, etc.

FEATURES:
The fonts of the words can be changed through the FONT option in the Home Menu. BULLETS & NUMBERING can be used to type the details in an order. The paragraph can be aligned through ALIGNMENT option in the Tool bar. The spelling can be checked through SPELLING & GRAMMAR option in the Review menu. With the help of HEADER & FOOTER option in the Insert menu the page numbers can be set. The words can be given underlined or made bold with UNDERLINE & BOLD option in the Tool bar. The picture can be inserted with the help of PICTURE option in the Insert Menu. Table can be inserted with the help of TABLE option in the Insert Menu. Page borders can be inserted by BORDERS & SHADING option in the Page Layout Menu.

RESULT: Thus the resume has been created successfully in the MS Word.

PROCEDURE:

To prepare a Mark List for a Class.

PROCEDURE:
To open MS-Excel window click MS-Excel from the Programs Click new document from the Office button to create a new spreadsheet. Type the mark sheet in the columns and rows The mark sheet may have the details like Name, S.no, Subject, marks obtained in various subjects The total marks can be averaged through the formula bar. Find the Result using the Marks If Mark1,Mark2,Mark3>=50 then Result is Pass Else Result is Fail The details of the student name can be sorted through the sort option in the Home menu The graphical representation can be done for the mark through the chart option from the Insert menu

PREPARATION OF PAYROLL STATEMENT

AIM:
To prepare a Payroll Statement using MS-Excel.

PROCEDURE:
To open MS-Excel, click MS-Excel from the Programs. Click new document from the Office button to create a new spread sheet. Type the Payroll statement in the columns and rows. The Payroll statement may have the details like E.no, Employee name, basic pay, HRA, TA, DA, LIC, and PF etc. Find the HRA, TA, and DA of each employee using the field Basic pay. HRA = Basic pay of 20/100 TA = Basic pay of 15/100 DA = Basic pay of 10/100 The Gross Pay can be calculated by using Basic Pay, HRA, TA, and DA Gross Pay = HRA+TA+DA The details of the Employee name can be sorted through the sort option in the Home menu. The graphical representation can be done for the mark through the chart option from the Insert menu.

AIM:
To create a webpage using HTML programming language.

PROCEDURE:
tag On the next line after <head> tag, put a <title> tag. After the title tag, write the title Open Notepad. Click File->Save As. Choose all files from the file type menu.

Save your file as file.html. HTML (hypertext markup language) use tags. Tags are basically some text inside

of <angle brackets>. The first tag of a webpage is usually the <html> tag. The next tag is the <head> tag. Between the <head> and </head> tags are the title

of your website. Now end the title by typing </title> Now end your head by typing </head> Type <body but leave the tag open. <body bgcolor="blue" text="orange">Between

the two body tags goes the content of your webpage, what the user sees. Let's start with a header. A header is a section of large text, and is specified in

HTML with <h1> through <h6>, with <h1> being the largest. So at the top of your webpage, after the body tag, might be something like <h1>Welcome to my site!</h1> p> tag, or paragraph tag. <p>I'm learning how to make a website! </p>. If you want a new line in your site, use the <br> tag, or break tag. Formatting tags. <b> for bold text, <i> for italics, and <u> for underlining. To solve the problem in TORA software by Graphical Method.

PROCEDURE:
Go to TORA software; click the TORA icon in the desktop. Then select Linear Programming in the main menu. Select Enter New Problem, and remaining leave as it is, and Go To Input Screen. Input the Problem title, No. of Variables, and No. of Constraints. Then press enter. Enter the objective functions as Max and the value 3, 4 as variables. Enter 5,4 as the values for variables and 200 as the value of constraint for constraint 1 Enter 3,5 as the values for variables and 150 as the value of constraint for constraint 2 Enter 5,4 as the values for variables and 100 as the value of constraint for constraint 3 Enter 8,4 as the values for variables and 80 as the value of constraint for constraint 4 To solve the problem, press Solve Menu button, then save the data in the folder. Then go to Solve Problem and click graphical method. Then click Go TO Output Screen. Then click the constraints, and then click objective functions. Thus the problem is solved, make note of the value of the variables. In case, to view or to edit the input data, go to View/ Modify Input Data button.

SIMPLEX METHOD

To solve the problem by TORA software by simplex method.

PROCEDURE:

Input the Problem title, No. of Variables, and No. of Constraints. Then press enter. Enter the objective functions as Max and the value 3, 2 as variables. Enter -2,1 as the values for variables and 1 as the value of constraint for constraint 1 Enter 1,1 as the values for variables and 3 as the value of constraint for constraint 2 To solve the problem, press Solve Menu button, then save the data in the folder. Then go to Solve Problem and select Algebraic, then click Final Solution. Then click Go To Output Screen to see the output. Thus the problem is solved, make note of the value of the variables. In case, to view or to edit the input data, go to View/ Modify Input Data button.

PROCEDURE:

Input the Problem title, No. of Variables, and No. of Constraints. Then press enter. Enter the objective functions as Max and the value 6,8 as variables. Enter 5,2 as the values for variables and 20as the value of constraint for constraint 1 Enter 1,2 as the values for variables and 10 as the value of constraint for constraint 2 To solve the problem, press Solve Menu button, then save the data in the folder. Then go to Solve Problem and select Algebraic, then click Iterations, then click Dual Simplex. To see the optimum result click all iterations. Thus the problem is solved, make note of the value of the variables. In case, to view or to edit the input data, go to View/ Modify Input Data button.

PROCEDURE:
On the Windows desktop, choose Start > All Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Enterprise Manager. In the Details (left) pane, navigate to the Databases folder of the server you're using. SQL Server Enterprise Manager displays a list of databases in the Details pane. Then select Database, right click it and select New Database. Then give name of the database, and save the table with the table name. Then open the table to create the attributes, which are Employee Name- (varchar), Emp. No. (int), D.O.B. (dobirth), etc.., save and close. Open the table, and enter details of the employee one by one.
