Japan

Japan was once known as Nippon. It is a populated, friendly and wealthy country is a very popular tourist attraction. It has a wide range of food to select from and have many people living in the streets of Japan. The language that not just Japan speck but Hawaii, America, China and Korean people also speck Japanese. 15% of the population in Thai Land speck Japanese. The three alphabets in Japan are kanji, katakana and hiragana. Food Japan has a wide range of food. Here are just some of the foods that the kids have at home: Rice, Chilled Tofu, Sushi, Donburi, Rice Balls and many more. Japanese people have rice nearly with every dish. Japanese people really care about how they present their food.
Religion The two main religions that Japan has are: Shintoism and Buddhism. Shinto is a very old religion that has been around ever since the 3rd century. Buddhism is also a very old religion and has been around since the 6th century. There are also some people that are Christian. The percentages of all the religions are: Shintoism 83.9%, Buddhism 71.4%, Christianity 2% and other 7.8%. Sports Japan takes their sports seriously. Some of the sports are: Sumo Wrestling, Marshularts, Soccer and many more. Japan also plays international football (soccer) but also have their own league. Japan also play badminton which is like tennis only it is a smaller court and the net is higher. Population Japan is a very big country and has 126,648,889 people. The growth rate of Japan is 0.70%. This is caused by the birth rate which is 8.39. Sadly the death rates e 9.15. A lot of the deaths happen in Japan because of the earthquakes, volcanos and tsunamis. Weather Japan have a lot of earthquakes because underneath them they have tectonic plates that are about 70 kilometres thick and every year they move a few centimetres that may not sound like a lot but the reaction is huge. They dont just have earthquakes they also have volcanos and tsunamis. So if youre looking for a good time to go it is also pretty hard to know when to go. Places

Tokyo is Japans capital city. Tokyo is a beautiful city that attracts a lot of tourist not just because the city is beautiful but Tokyo has a giant Disney land. If you can believe it there are 13.9 million people go every day to not just visit Disneyland but to go on all the rids they have. Electronics Japan has a big part in electronics and gaming devices such as DS and Sony. The DS was invented by Fusajiro Yamauchi and even created the games that go with the DS. Akio Morita invented Sony. Japan has also invented Hello Kitty and loves it. Currency Japans currency is yen. Yen in the third most traded currency so that is why Japan choice to go with yen. There notes are made out of paper and some of their coins were made with holes on them. There coins also have patterns on them like our coins have the queen and a plater puss on them. Government Japan have a prime minister. Japans Prime Minister is Shinz Abe. He was born on the 21st of September, 1954. He was elected in 2012. The party that he is in is Liberal Democratic Party. While Shinz Abe is the Prime Minister Akihito is the Emperor of Japan. Akihito was born on the 23rd of December, 1933. Akihito is the 125th person to be Emperor in his family. Wars The wars that Japan have been involved in are: 1274 With the Mongols. They tried to invade Japan. Japan defeated the Mongol. 1281 Japan had another war with Mongol. Mongol tried to invade japan again. Mongol got defeated for the second time. 1592- 1598 Japan had a war with Korea and China. 1937-1945 Japan had a war with China. Japan invaded China. Flora Some of Japans Floras are: Sakura, Ume, Momiji, Matsu and much more. Sakura in English are cherry blossoms. They are national flowers. Ume in English are Japanese plums. Japanese plums blooming are several weeks before cherry blossoms. Momiji are called Japanese maple in English. They are the king of spectacular autumn colours and there colour look really good. Mastu is pine in English. Pine stay green throughout the year and look like trees.

Fauna Japan has got lots of wild animals. They have 160 types of wild mammals, 700 species of birds and 32,000 species of insects. They have also got wildcats and Amami hare. On a main island they have Japanese serow, giant flying squirrel, Japanese bear, Japanese macaque and wild boar. Kids go and feed swans like what we do going to the park and feedin the ducks and birds bread.
