Congratulations to Elijah Smith for his performance in the WAESC Chess Tournament held last week. He had five tournament wins placing him as overall champion. In second place with four tournament wins each are Clay Watts, Madison Looper, Eric Moran and Peyton Short. Chess players recording 3 match wins were Aric McKinney, Colton Laird, Jackson Mitchell, and Samia Ismail. Great job GJHS Chess Team.
Student Council sign-ups will begin next week. This is open to all 8th graders. Positions are President, Secretary/Treasurer, Reporter/Historian, and representative. Representatives must have a 2.5 GPA and officers must have a 3.0 GPA. Sign-ups are in Room 44 Mrs. Brewers Room! Bulldog Soccer will travel to Fort Smith Southside for matches beginning @ 3:30.
