Where He Sends...

March 2013

Going to reach the Hungary. Beginning the next stages of this exciting journey! Back Story...
You might be asking how I got to this place of committing to move halfway across the world to partner with Josiah Venture to reach the youth of Hungary. Years ago, while a student at Multnomah Bible College, I listened to a JV missionary share about the youth of Europe and JVs vision to reach them by partnering with the local church. I heard the statistics, less than 1% claim to know Jesus as their Savior, and I felt God nudge my heart. It was then that I knew God was asking me if I was willing to go wherever He might send me. Over the next few years I nished school, served short-term in Rwanda, and returned home to pay o my school loans. In the winter of 2011, with my loans nearly paid o , I felt God reawakening the desire to share Christs love with the youth of Central and Eastern Europe. Dear friends of mine, Rob and Liz Trenckmann, were headed to Europe as long-term missionaries with JV and asked me to prayerfully consider serving as a summer intern alongside them. I spent the past summer in Budapest, Hungary. During this time God continually drew my heart to the people and country as I encountered rsthand the need for Christ. It was an amazing time of discovery and challenge as we set out to pioneer the rst months of JVs existence in Hungary. During this time, we explored Budapest visiting local churches and youth groups. We also interviewed students on the street about their beliefs. As I got to know the people of Hungary, my heart was captivated. I returned home with a very deep love for and desire to serve the youth of Hungary. I spent time praying, questioning, counting the cost and dialoging with family, mentors and dear friends. In the end, it was very apparent that it was not just my desire, but also Gods desire, for me to join what He is doing in Hungary!

So Whats Next? A two year commitment...

so I am very excited to be joining them to share the love of Christ with the youth of Hungary. I also look forward to connecting with the local church and youth ministry, discipling young ladies, serving as administrative assistant to Rob, the country leader, as well as diligently beginning to learn Hungarian. I am passionate about seeing God reach Hungary for himself, one student at a time, and I invite you to join me on this journey.

I am excited to be joining Josiah Venture in their mission to see a movement of God among the youth of Central and Eastern Europe. I will be partnering with the local church and serving alongside Rob and Liz Trenckmann in Veszprem, Hungary. Rob, Liz, and their son, Caleb, are currently the only family serving with JV in Hungary,

Partner With Me...

I know God is not asking me to do this alone. I rmly believe that in order to successfully be a part of His work in Hungary, I need a team of people committed to stand with me. So, I am praying with bold faith for a team of people who will go with me:

In prayer:

standing with me by committing to faithfully pray daily or weekly for the ministry God is doing in Hungary. I know how important it is to have other believers committed to praying both for and with me. There are 32.5 million youth in the countries in which JV works and 99% of them do not claim to know Christ as Savior. The need is great and prayer is essential. So, please prayerfully consider joining this vital team. If you want to be a part of this prayer team, please mark the appropriate box on the slip enclosed!

I also need to raise nancial support for Josiah Venture. I need to raise monthly support of $3,000 (this covers both living and ministry expenses) and an initial one-time outgoing expense of $19,400 (this covers things such as JV orientation, training, moving, airfare and other things that come with relocating to a new country). It is with bold faith and a deep conviction knowing this is Gods

Through nancial support:

movement and He will provide, that I ask you to prayerfully consider giving nancially to the work God is doing in Hungary. Any gifts you would like to give to this ministry can be made out to Josiah Venture with the enclosed slip and envelope. You can also give through the JV website at www.josiahventure.com. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Thank you for taking the time to read this, for praying, and for being a part of what God is doing in Hungary. My hope is to begin serving by Fall of 2013. This can only happen if 100% of my support is coming into JV. I am excited to see how God will provide and how His plans will continue to unfold. And, I look forward to connecting with each of you in the near future.
