POSITIONNEMENT DU RAIL :
Le systme Hercule doit imprativement tre install au dessus de lutilisateur et ne tolre aucune inclinaison. Pour limiter tout risque daccident d a leffet pendulaire il convient de positionner le rail la verticale de la zone de travail. Le choix du positionnement du rail doit tre guid par : * * * * Le type de travaux effectuer La zone de dplacement Laccs au systme Lespace de dgagement au niveau infrieur

FIXATIONS:
Les lments de fixation doivent tre conus en fonction de la structure sur laquelle ils se fixent. Il doivent tre dfinis par un bureau dtudes comptent. Il convient de fournir, pour leur dfinition, toutes les informations techniques, y compris les plans concernant la structure daccueil (nature des matriaux, rsistance structurelle). il existe diffrentes pattes de fixation adaptes chaque type de montage (mural ou plafond) ou de structure (mtallique, bton... )

RAIL POSITIONING:
It is essential to install the Hercule system above the user. It will not tolerate any inclination. To minimize risks of accident due to the pendular effect, the rail must be placed vertically above the working area. The choice of rail position should be guided by: * the type of work to be performed * the area of movement * access to the system * the clear space to the lower level

The Hercule system is a permanent mobile anchorage point designed to protect persons during work at height while ensuring great freedom of movement. The carriage (ref. AN 200) slides over the rail (ref. AN 201) attached permanently to the working area. The user can move along the rail in total safety. The use of a Hercule system with a retractable type fall arrester (type JRC) or a flexible anchorage line (COBRA type) also provides for vertical movement.

Le systme Hercule est un point dancrage mobile permanent. Il a pour objectif de scuriser une personne pendant un travail en hauteur tout en lui autorisant une grande libert de mouvement. Le chariot (ref. AN200) coulisse dans le Rail (ref. AN201) fix de faon permanente au-dessus de la zone de travail, lutilisateur peut se dplacer le long du rail en toute scurit. Lutilisation dun systme Hercule avec un antichute rappel automatique (type JRG) ou un support dassurage flexible (type COBRA), permet galement un dplacement vertical.

1 - MISE EN OEUVRE
1-1 Une tude pralable savre indispensable, soit par reconnaissance des lieux et le mtr, soit par la fourniture de plans prcis et contractuels. Aprs tude de ces paramtres, le Service Technique de PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL dtermine les modes dimplantation, de fixation et dutilisation. Cette tude prend en compte la normalisation en vigueur. Un devis estimatif sera tabli, accompagn dun schma de principe et ne deviendra une offre dfinitive quaprs acceptation du dossier par les parties concernes. Un dossier de plan de linstallation et notes de calcul pourront tre fournis. Il appartient au contractant de sassurer de la conformit des plans et documents fournis aux spcifications du site. 1-2 MONTAGE SUR SITE Les monteurs de PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL ou ses installateurs agrs hautement qualifis, effectueront cette phase montage. Les consignes dhygine et scurit seront appliques conformment aux textes en vigueur, et des contraintes applicables au site. Un planning de montage sera coordonn entre le service montage de PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL et le client, en fonction des impratifs lis linstallation. 1-3 ESSAIS DE RECEPTION APRES MONTAGE Procdure : Un test de bon fonctionnement est ralis aprs le montage par lquipe de pose, et en prsence des utilisateurs. Ce test est compris dans le march. Il consiste vrifier le bon coulissement du chariot dans son support. Cette action se fera dans tous les cas. 1-4 ESSAIS DE RECEPTION ET CONTROLE Les supports dassurage Hercule pourront tre contrls par tout Organisme Agr ou par PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL; Dans tous les cas, ces contrles seront chiffrs hors clauses du march initial, suivant la procdure souhaite par le contractant. En cas de dtrioration de composants, la remise en tat et/ou le remplacement des pices dfectueuses seront facturs aprs tablissement dun devis. RAPPEL Suivant les normes en vigueur, un essai est concluant lorsque la charge est retenue. Les dformations de tout ou partie dquipement sont acceptes. Il sera ralis avec du matriel conforme la Norme NF EN 364 et leffort pris en compte ne pourra excder 600 daN. Cet essai est destructif, les composants soumis effort devront tre changs. ATTENTION : Si le dispositif dancrage HERCULE participe larrt dune chute, il devra tre vrifi et certains composants devront tre changs.

1 - USE
1-1 A preliminary study is absolutely indispensable, either via a visit to the site with measurement-taking, or the supply of precise contractual drawings. After study of these parameters, the PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL Technical Department determines the procedures of installation. This study will take into account the directives in force. An estimate will be drawn up accompanied by a basic diagram, and will become a final and definitive offer once the file has been accepted by both parties. An installation sketch and calculations notes can be provided. It is up to the contracting party to ensure conformity to site specifications of the drawings and documents.

1-2 ON-SITE INSTALLATION PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL installers or its highly-qualified approved installers will carry out this installation phase. Hygiene and safety instructions will be applied in accordance with the texts in force, and the constraints applicable to the site. An installation schedule will be drawn up in co-ordination between the PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL installation service and the customer, depending on the parameters and requirements specific to the site. 1-3 ACCEPTANCE TEST AFTER INSTALLATION Procedure: A correct operating test is carried out after installation by the installation team, in the presence of the users. This test is included in the contract and consists in verifying the correct functioning of the HERCULE device from one end of the line to the other and back again. This action is required in all cases. 1-4 ACCEPTANCE AND CONTROL TEST Lifelines can be inspected by any Approved Organisation or by PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL. In all cases, these inspections will be quoted outside of the clauses of the initial contract, in accordance with the procedure desired by the contracting party. In the event of the deterioration of parts, repair and/or replacement of defective parts will be billed after an estimate has been drawn up.

REMINDER: In accordance with the standards in force, a test is conclusive when the load is held. Deformations on all or part of the equipment are accepted. This test will be carried out with equipment in compliance with standard NF EN 364; the stress taken into account must not exceed 600 daN. This test is destructive. WARNING: If the fall arrester HERCULE is subject to a fall, it will have to be returned to the manufacturer to be repared.

2- CLAUSES TECHNIQUES PARTICULIERES

2-1 CONCEPTION DANCRAGES SPECIAUX Un descriptif technique sera tabli, prcisant le process utiliser, ainsi que la nature des pices spciales. (poteaux, supports spciaux, ensemble de bridage, matire de ces pices et leur protection) 2-2 CONDITIONS DE MONTAGES SPECIAUX Ces clauses particulires seront dfinies pour des raisons climatiques, des impratifs de production, des dangers particuliers, des accs inexistants, des conditions spciales de manutention et de levage, ainsi que des interventions sur site, hors horaires de travail et jours chms.

2 - SPECIAL TECHNICAL CLAUSES

2-1 SPECIAL ANCHORAGE DESIGN A technical descriptive will be drawn up specifying the system to be used, together with the nature of the special parts (posts, special support structures, clamping assembly, material of these parts and their protection). 2-2 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY CONDITIONS These special clauses will be defined for weather conditions, production imperatives, specific danger, non-existent accesses, special handling and lifting conditions, together with all on-site interventions, outside of working hours and holidays.

3 - LIMITE DUTILISATION
3-1 La rsistance du support tant directement lie la qualit du support, la conformit ne pourra tre tablie que si le(s) matriau(x), constituant celui-ci, est(sont) exempt(s) de tout vice de fabrication ou de chute de performance dpendante de sa mise en oeuvre ou de son utilisation. (vieillissement, surcharge, attaques chimiques ou climatiques, etc...) 3-2 La conformit du dispositif HERCULE nest assure que si son utilisation est soumise lemploi de matriel dassujettissement (longe, harnais), possdant le marquage CE et utilis conformment aux recommandations du fabricant. 3-3 Les pices et accessoires ainsi que la position et la qualit des points dancrage seront rigoureusement ceux, dcrits et prconiss dans ltude effectue par PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL. 3-4 Le montage du systme ne pourra tre fait que par PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL ou ses installateurs agrs. 3-5 Le dispositif dancrage HERCULE sert protger un intervenant contre les chutes, et permet dtre utilis comme systme de suspension.

3 - LIMIT OF USE
3-1 As the strength of the support is directly dependant to the quality of the support structure, conformity can only be established if the material of the support structure is free from any manufacturing defects or a drop in performance directly to its assembly or use (ageing, overload, chemical or climatic erosion, etc...). 3-2 Conformity of the HERCULE system is only ensured if the user uses fall protection equipments (harness), having the EC marking, used in compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations. 3-3 Parts and accessories together with the position and quality of the anchorage points are strictly those described and recommended in the study carried out by PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL. 3-4 The system is only to be assembled by PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL or its approved installers. 3-5 The lifeline protects an operator against falls, and can be used as a suspension system (ig : horizontal movement for handling equipment).

4 - GARANTIE
Le dispositif dancrage HERCULE est garanti contre tout vice de fabrication ou de pose, pendant 1 an, il est conseill de faire vrifier celui-ci soit par Protecta ou un installateur agre, une fois par an. LIMITE DE GARANTIE La garantie ne sapplique pas : * aux matriaux du support * aux pices dtriores, suite un essai de qualification *au montage, lorsque la ligne nest pas pose par PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL ou ses installateurs agrs * au montage, lorsquil a t tabli sur des plans ou des informations errons.

4 - WARRANTY
The HERCULE lifeline is guaranteed against all manufacturing or installation defects for a period of 1 year, it is recommanded that the installation is to be inspected once a year, by Protecta or an authorized installer. LIMIT OF WARRANTY The warranty does not apply to: . support equipment . deteriorated parts caused by a qualification test . when the line is not installed by PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL or its approved installers . installation, when it has been carried out on erroneous drawings or informations.

5 - ENTRETIEN
5-1 Le dispositif dancrage HERCULE ne demande aucun entretien particulier. Cependant, dans le cas dune installation en milieu particulirement poussireux, il est recommand de nettoyer le rail et les clisses pour faciliter le dplacement. 5-2 IMPERATIF Aprs une chute, le systme HERCULE, ainsi que lquipement individuel mobile ayant servi arrter celle-ci, doivent tre obligatoirement vrifis par un technicien de PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL ou un installateur agr. Il sera alors tabli un devis de remise en tat, aprs constat de dgradations ventuelles.

5 - MAINTENANCE
5-1 The HERCULE lifline requires no special maintenance. Nevertheless, in the event the line is installed in a particularly dusty environment, we advise cleaning the rail and all the junction link for a good functionning of the system. 5-2 IMPERATIVE After a fall, the HERCULE system, together with the personal protective equipment having been used to arrest the fall must be verified by a PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL technician or an authorized installer. In the event of eventual degradation, a repair estimate will be drawn up.

Chariot mobile HERCULE (AN200) Point dancrage mobile, le chariot Hercule coulisse lintrieur dun rail spcial, en ligne droite comme en courbe. Il peut tre utilis avec une longe absorbeur dnergie, un antichute rappel automatique ou un support dassurage flexible pour permettre un dplacement vertical important. Rail droit (AN201) Les rails offrent au dispositif dancrage HERCULE un support parfaitement linaire permettant un coulissement optimum du chariot . Plusieurs rails peuvent tre mis bout bout , et sont alors relis entre eux par des manchons de raccordement. Rail courbe (AN202) Le passage dangle (intrieur ou extrieur) est ralis laide dun rail courbe. Plusieurs virages peuvent tre raliss sur un mme systme. Manchon de raccordement (AN203) Les tronons de rail, droits ou courbes, sont relis en eux par les manchons de raccordement. Leurs fixations sont assures par 8 boulons de serrage.

HERCULE mobile trolley (AN200) This is a mobile anchorage point. The Hercule trolley slides within a special rail on a straight line or on a curve. Can be used with an energy absorber lanyard, a retractable type fall arrester or a flexible anchorage line to allow extensive vertical movements.

Straight rail (AN201) The rails provide Hercule anchorage device with a totally linear support allowing the trolley to slide smoothly. Several rails can be placed end to end and connected by sleeves.

Curved rail (AN202) A corner (internal or external) can be formed using a curved rail. Several bends can be made using the same system.

Connecting sleeve (AN203) The straight or curved rail sections are connected together by connection sleeves. Attachments are by 8 attaching bolts.

Supports de fixation Ils permettent la solidarisation du rail la structure. Lespacement entre deux supports de fixation ne doit pas dpasser 1 mtre. Diffrents types de supports sont disponibles afin de pourvoir tout type de configuration. Support de fixation souder (AN204) Permet linstallation dun systme hercule sur une structure mtallique. Les supports de fixation seront directement souds sur la structure. Support de fixation plafond (AN205) Permet linstallation dun systme hercule directement au plafond dun btiment. Attaching supports These supports are designed for connecting the rail to the structure. The interval between two supports must not be greater than 1 meter. Different types of supports are available to provide for every configuration. Welded attaching support (AN204) Used for installing a Hercule system on a metal structure. The attaching supports are welded directly onto the structure.

Adjustable attaching support (AN 207 and AN 208) An adjusting screw is used for setting the rail position according to the type of structure. Stop (AN200/ACC) The stops prevent the accidental exit of the HERCULE trolley from the rail. They are attached at either end.
