It is estimated that more than one billion humans are infected with intestinal parasites .1 Over 15% of all cancers in humans are parasitesrelated.2 It is also estimated that every fourth human is infected with intestinal parasites.3 Parasites are an eternal health problem with all living organisms. Parasites are creatures designed by nature to keep the earth clean. This is natures way of ensuring survival of the fittest. The common approach for parasites makes use of a poison/toxin based approach, and is thus not an ideal solution. Additionally at some level our bodies risk being poisoned by this toxic approach, creating various side effects for minimal effect. This approach does not break the parasite life cycle. The third type of injury, by excretion of toxic substances, is done to some extent by practically all parasites. It is this ability that often leave us feeling worse for the experience. In external parasites the damage is usually done by an excretion, usually of the salivary glands, which prevents the coagulation of blood, and tends to inflame the tissues with which it comes in contact. In the case of internal parasites the toxic substances are probably in most cases the waste products of the parasites, voided into or absorbed by the blood or neighboring tissues. In many cases these toxins have specific actions on particular tissues or organs, so that parasites in one part of the body may do their chief damage to an entirely different part. Intestinal worms, for instance, may produce considerably greater derangements of the blood or of the nervous system than of the intestine. It is for this reason that makes exact identification of the true cause of the problem so elusive.

The power of the blood of vertebrate animals to react against invading organisms or poisons by producing substances which will destroy them is one of the most wonderful adaptations in all the realm of nature.
