se Compatible with Poser 6 / 7+ and DAZ Studio 3 Using the DAZ Studio light set This prop comes with a DAZ Studio light set in several versions. A fast version for maximum render speed at the cost of quality, a default version with a good trade between speed / quality and a quality version with maximum quality at the cost of render speed. You can change the light set version by deleting the current one from the scene tab and loading a new one. Note that changing the version will automatically reset to the default sun position. Note that allthough lots of work has been put into making the light sets and making them look similar, it's technically difficult to achieve 100% intensity match between all the three versions. As default, the sun light is positioned and aimed to roughly match the background. It will provide a good overall lighting. To get the maximum of the light set, you should take some time and re-aim the sun light for each of the camera presets. A good angle is often from behind, from any side and slightly from above. Treat the sun light as a backlight to capture the beauty of the city and create some dramatic lighting effects that include both bright and dark areas. To re-aim the sun light, select the sun light camera and re-aim it to your taste.. Don't forget to switch back to your camera preset before rendering. DAZ Studio Camera Presets There are 50 camera presets. The presets need to be loaded separatelly. Some of them use DOF (Depth Of Field). The camera presets are made with a aspect ratio of 16:9. Make sure you have 16:9 selected in the render settings. You can use the camera presets as they are with a 16:9 aspect ratio or use a different aspect ratio and re-tweak the camera angles slightly to fit your needs. Optimal DAZ Studio render settings In the advanced render tab, you can try the following minimum quality settings for optimal render speed: X/Y pixel samples: 3 (4 is preffered - use 8-12 when usingcameras that have DOF enabled) Raytracing depth: 3 (use lower if you want more speed / no reflections on some surfaces) Shading Rate: 1 for good speed at decent quality. 0.4 for great quality. 0.1-0.2 for maximum quality. (The lower the value, the better the quality and the slower the render time). Photoshop postwork If you want, you can add additional effects using Photoshop or the gimp. The principle is to duplicate the currect layer, select the copy layer and then increase the contrast a great deal until you only see the highlights and black. Then, add some gaussian blur to that (515 pixels) and lower the sturation level. Switch to screen blending mode for that layer and you should be good to go.
