characteristics that capture the unique nature of a person. It combines a set of physical and mental characteristics that reflect how a person looks, thinks, feels and behaves. Personality is the sum total of ways in which an individual reacts and interacts with others. Personality type refers to the psychological classification of different types of individuals. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. Fundamental to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is the theory of psychological type as originally developed by Carl Jung. Jung proposed the existence of two dichotomous pairs of cognitive functions:
The "rational" (judging) functions: thinking and feeling The "irrational" (perceiving) functions: sensing and intuition
The 16 types are typically referred to by an abbreviation of four lettersthe initial letters of each of their four type preferences (except in the case of intuition, which uses the abbreviation N to distinguish it from Introversion). For instance:
ESTJ: extraversion (E), sensing (S), thinking (T), judgment (J) INFP: introversion (I), intuition (N), feeling (F), perception (P) And so on for all 16 possible type combinations.
Inputs regarding various types of personalities and their dominating traits with strengths and areas of improvements were disseminated to us as a part of curriculum of Term-I of Executive-PGDM Program. Further, a psychometric test was also conducted in the class for every participant to arrive at his/her personality type. This group assignment endeavors to understand and analyze the personality types of the group members for leveraging the inputs gained for enhancement of group synergy and dynamics on one hand and individual personality betterment on the other. The order followed in the following text is detailed analysis of the personality types of each member followed by arriving at his strengths, areas of improvement and individual developmental needs. Subsequently, the strategy for gainful and efficient utilization of the team members for enhancement of group synergy and dynamics in light of his personality type has also been explored. The conclusion offers a consolidated picture of the group with regard to the personality types and analysis thereof.

3. Conclusion:
This document is the property of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. This should not be reproduced or communicated without written authorization.
The group has a good mix of introverts (4 Nos) and extroverts (2 Nos). The group has a perfect balance of intuitive (3 Nos) and sensing (3 Nos) personalities. Interestingly, all 6 members of the group are of thinking type which emphasize that the group must exercise due care to deliberately introduce and encourage a sense of adherence to personal and social concerns while taking decisions and at the same time working on building of harmony among the group as against relying too heavily on logic and thinking without according due care to the feelings and mental well being of the members. In the fourth trait, the team has a distribution of judgment (4 Nos) and perception (2 Nos). It can be concluded from the above analysis that group number 7 is a nice blend of different personality types who complement and reinforce each other to bring about excellent group dynamics and synergy.
