May 2, 2013 Marc Avissar is the owner of Fixtures Plus in Rockville, Maryland, USA. Born in Morocco, he was raised in Israel, where he served in the Israeli Army before emigrating to the US in 1969, later returning to live in Israel and then returning again to the US. where his company is the largest supplier of store fixtures and display cases and design in the greater Washington, DC area. Andre Azoulay, a Moroccan Jew, is a senior advisor to King Mohammed VI of Morocco. He is also president of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation and a member of the UN Alliance of Civilizations. He is an advisory board member of CVJHP. He will be represented by Mr. Abdellah Boutadghart, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Morocco in Dakar. Carol Castiel is the director of current affairs programming in the English Division of Voice of America. Before joining the VOA, Carol was a consultant/freelance journalist specializing in the promotion of trade and investment between the United States and Africa. In 2008, she created the Cape Verde Jewish Heritage Project Inc., a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC to help restore and preserve Cape Verdes Jewish cemeteries, document the legacy of the Sephardic Jews, and promote heritage tourism. Rabbi Eliezer Shai di Martino, Chief Rabbi of the Jewish community of Lisbon since 2007, was born in Italy and did rabbinical studies in Jerusalem at the Sephardic Center and at the Amiel Strauss Institute. Alma Gottlieb is a professor of cultural anthropology at the University of Illinois and Princeton University, currently researching the contemporary experiences of Cape Verdeans (on and off the islands) who have Jewish ancestry, with plans to publish a book on the topic. Nuno Wahnon Martins is the director for European Affairs at B'nai B'rith International based in Brussels. Born in Lisbon, Nuno is a lawyer at the Lisbon Bar Association. He is an advisory board member of CVJHP. Sheppard Wahnon has been affiliated with Kulanu (a US-based organization that documents the presence of Jews in far-flung places), the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry, and the American Sephardi Federation. Sheppard Wahnons grandparents were from Gibraltar but of Moroccan origin. Part of his family immigrated to Cape Verde from Gibraltar in the 1830s. He has relatives in the US, Cape Verde, Portugal and Canada. John Wahnon immigrated to the USA in 1962 at age 20 and promptly joined the US Air Force. After eight years of active service, he took courses in engineering and completed an MBA in information technology. He is a founding member of AMICAEL, the Friends of Israel and Cape Verde, and is an executive board member of CVJHP.

Sheppard Wahnon est afiliado Conferncia Norte Americana de Judeus da Etipia e a Federaao Sefardita Norte Americana. Os avs do Sheppard so do Gibraltar mas de origem Marroquina. Fazem parte da mesma familia que imigrou para Cabo Verde nos anos 1830. Tem, portanto, familiares nos EUA, Cabo Verde, Portugal e Canad. John Wahnon nasce em Cabo Verde mas emigrou para os EUA aos 20 anos de idade tendo, de imediato, integrado a Fora Area dos EUA.
