Graduate Accountant
Finance Department
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced staff for the above
position reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager - Banking in the Finance Division,
based at Level 12, Suva Central Building, Suva.

Job Summary

The role is to assist in the financial and management reporting functions in the Finance
Division.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager - Banking , the position will be responsible
for achieving best practice in finance administration and for providing a strong service
culture that will meet customer expectations. Specific key responsibilities include:

1. Performing General Ledger (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss) reconciliations and ensure
timely clearance of outstanding items.
2. Conduct daily subsidiary reconciliations to the General Ledger after interface.
3. Carry out monthly bad debts reconciliation.
4. Journal preparation and postings.
5. Performing monthly expense analysis of allocated departments.
6. Prepare monthly management reporting packs.
7. Assist with maintenance of the Tax Depreciation register.
8. Assist with the budget process.
9. Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and other reports to RBF.
10. Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financials.
11. Any other tasks set by Financial Accounting Manager – Banking.

Competencies

ƒ Must demonstrate good understanding and application of our Vision & Values.
ƒ Some experience in a similar role in a head office environment or a large corporation will
be advantageous but not necessary.
ƒ Degree in Accounting, Finance or commerce.
ƒ Good command of spoken and written English.
ƒ Highly analytical and ability to resolve problems efficiently.
ƒ Strong computer skills gained through extensive experience.
ƒ Strong accounting skills.
ƒ The ability to work under pressure and the discipline to work with minimum supervision
and to strict deadlines.
ƒ Good time management techniques, with proven planning and organising skills.
ƒ A team player with the tact to interact with stakeholders across the various businesses
and levels of the organisation.
ƒ Service MQR – minimum 12 months service with current substantive position.
Salary Scale

CFLL Grade 5: $20,341 – $27,521
