In an action for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices

Act, the Court granted Plaintiff's Motion for Award of Attorney Fees and Plaintiff's Bill of Costs and awarded attorneys' fees to Plaintiff in the amount of $2,530.00 and costs in the amount of $350.00. The Court concluded a reasonable hourly rate for Plaintiff's counsel was $178 based on the 2007 Oregon State Bar Survey adjusted for inflation. Although Plaintiff requested a rate of $120 for paralegal work and a rate of $80 per hour for legalassistant work, the Court awarded Plaintiff $50 per hour for both paralegal and legal-assistant work because Plaintiff did not provide any information as to the experience of the paralegal and legal assistants.
