Job Description Job Title: Responsible to: Hours of work: Salary: Based at: Purpose of the Secondments XXX The Project Officer will be responsible for delivering a range of initiatives to improve understanding of the needs of XXX people across XXX. Project Officer XXX Project Manager 9.00am-5.00pm full time 35 hours per week for 12 months; job shares will be considered either part-time for 12 months, or full time for 5-9 months XXX XXX

Main duties and responsibilities To provide XXX staff with an understanding of the impact of XXX and the broad range of needs experienced by XXX people and ensure that XXX staff can gain knowledge of the full range of services, equipment and resources available to XXX people locally. To organise and deliver formal, flexible XXX awareness training sessions XXX teams and partner agencies such as XXX. To provide consultancy input to XXX teams as requested. Evaluate existing communication channels, identifying any gaps and contributing to the development of new marketing materials and information prescriptions. Develop local initiatives to increase integration of XXX Services and embed new developments. To ensure that evolving XXX systems, policies, processes and paperwork is appropriate for the needs of XXX service users and staff. Maintain regular and effective communication with colleagues at all levels within the Directorate and beyond, as well as multi-agency partners, attending team briefings, preparing and delivering briefings when required, in order to promote initiatives and ensure the delivery of high quality outcomes. Deliver presentations to a variety of audiences, both internal and external to the organisation, by way of a variety of methods tailored to the needs of the audience in order to promote a wider understanding and appreciation of the projects involved. Research and evaluate these XXX initiatives gathering relevant information on national and local initiatives and legislation in order to enable good practice to be shared across Directorates and with partnership agencies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Criteria Knowledge and understanding of XXX. Knowledge of the issues affecting XXX people and an understanding of the range of rehabilitation support available locally and nationally. An understanding of the personalisation agenda, and a commitment to embrace the opportunities and challenges that it presents for XXX, XXX, and XXX people. Project Management skills including excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a complex workload effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a range of individuals and groups. The ability to work independently and as a team member. Willingness to advocate strongly for good practice within care and support services for people with XXX. Desirable Criteria Foundation Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Rehabilitation Studies.
