INTRODUCTION The global economy is creating profound and substantial changes for organizations and industries throughout the world. It is therefore necessary for organizations and industries to strategically prepare themselves to meet these challenges in the ever-competitive nature of business. To ensure that organizations have competitive advantage, it is imperative that they continuously innovate and create new ideas for their organizations. This is where corporate entrepreneurship becomes relevant. Corporate entrepreneurship refers to the formal and informal process of creating new businesses, products, services, and processes to create value and generate new business growth inside of existing organizations. Individuals that do this work are referred to as corporate entrepreneurs, intraprenerus, or mavericks. They are the pioneers, business builders, and change agents that initiate growth inside organizations. Therefore, this course intends to provide an exposure to students to all aspects of corporate entrepreneurship. This will include theoretical parts that support the corporate entrepreneurial concepts, the characteristics and nature of entrepreneurship in established organizations, vision and direction of entrepreneurial activity inside organizations, the important elements in a supportive environment

The course objectives are to: Assist students in understanding the nature of corporate entrepreneurship Identify who are the corporate entrepreneurs Understand the link between creativity and corporate entrepreneurship. Understand the link between product innovation, technology and the corporation. Recognize the link between strategy and corporate entrepreneurship. Understand the obstacles to corporate entrepreneurship. Assist in understanding the environment needed to support corporate entrepreneurship. Understand how to develop an entrepreneurial culture. Identify large organization that you would describe as entrepreneurial and explain why you would describe the organization this way. Is the organization commercially successful?
