It talks about injecting, snorting and orally taking them and how different ways affect the body. It says how an empty stomach would cause the alcohol to be stronger because nothing is there to absorb it. It also talks about the brain, synapses, and neurotransmitters. This source would be excellent for when needing information on what exactly causes the high feeling. Source 2: "Drug Information." A&E. N.p., n.d. The A&E website doesnt go too far in depth discussing drugs in specific but it does go over the main side effects of drugs and how they impact the brain and body. This would be a good website to get drug specific information such as long and short term side effects as well as mental and physical side effects. Source 3: "Neuroanatomy and Physiology of Brain." It refers to high as the brain reward system. It uses very scientific information and has drug specific information. It also tells how some people are more vulnerable to addiction as opposed to others because of their genetics and personality. Source 4: Nordqvist, Christian. This source discusses opioids such as oxycodone, vicodin, Percocet and other times of pain relievers. They say that pain pills are becoming a serious problem in the U.S. causing more than 15,500 deaths in 2009 and that number continues to grow every year. This source has pretty good information about why the drugs are sought after but lacks information on the specifics of pain pills. This would be a good source to talk about why people take drugs.

It says 23.2 million Americans have a problem with addictions with only 10% receiving treatment. Addiction in this source is defined as a disease that can change brain structure and function. It tells about how meth was originally just a regional problem but is now spreading widely across America. It says meth is a stimulate as powerful or more than cocaine. The effects of meth can include stroke, heart damage and mental damage. It also tells that you can become addicted from one time use and can be high up to 12 hours. It says that an average of $2100 a month is spent on heroine by an addict. The article also explains that with treatment the amount of crimes committed could be reduced significantly by 4.9 million.
