One month left to have your say on the draft Auckland Unitary Plan
Mayor Len Brown will be attending the Birkdale and Beach Haven Residents and Ratepayers Association meeting on 13 May to discuss local issues and the draft Auckland Unitary Plan. Its a great opportunity to find out what the plan could mean for the area. When: 13 May 2013, 7.30pm Where: Beach Haven Hall, 336 Rangatira Road, Beach Haven We have had worthwhile and productive discussions at our community meetings focusing on the different aspects of the draft Auckland Unitary Plan. Kaiptikis consultation camper is still out in the community to help locals find out more so they can provide their feedback to help shape the plan. You also have the chance to find out more with the consultation campervan this month. Glenfield Market 12 and 26 May, 5pm Birkenhead Artisan Market 18 May, 8am-1pm
There have been many discussions about what the unitary plan will mean for our communities. We are getting lots of feedback around many issues, including housing density, the environment and infrastructure to support Aucklands growth. Feedback for the draft plan closes on Friday 31 May 2013 and we encourage you to visit www.shapeauckland.co.nz to find out what it means for your community and have your say.
