THE LIFE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN

Mar 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? Mar 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. Possessed by possessions Mar 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Mar 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! - to convince, to pacify, to rely, have confidence, -mah - Something useful or needed, that is, wealth, price: - money, riches. Luk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. AMP - 23 And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [[g]disown himself, [h]forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, [i]refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [[j]cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also]. Luk 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. THE LIFE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN

Wilma Rudolph was the 20th of 22 children. Born prematurely, doctors did not expect Wilma to survive. She did, but at the age of four, she contracted double pneumonia and scarlet fever, leaving her left leg paralyzed. She learned to walk with the aid of a metal brace. When Wilma was nine-years-old, she removed the leg brace and began walking without it. By age 13, she developed a rhythmic walk. That same year, she decided to begin running. She entered her first race and came in last. For the next three years, Wilma came in dead last in every race she entered. But she kept on running, and one day she won. Eventually, the little girl who was not supposed to live, and then who was not supposed to be able to walk, would win three gold medals in Rome's 1960 Olympic games. There is contempt for self denial in the mind of believers. Yet in the heart of God there is a great respect and lofty exaltation. Jesus left the hallowed halls of heaven to descend to crucifixion so that you and I can ascend from crucifixion to the hallowed halls of heaven. Fellowship with Jesus demands daily carrying of a load. Yet the highest honors of the kingdom are for such. Those who suffer with Him, reign with Him. If any of His disciples prefer to avoid this suffering he will lose the joys and honors of the kingdom. If any choose to lose or destroy his will by association with Him in His rejection, he will save it, for his place will be high in the kingdom. If we have proper regard for the divine we will exhibit proper disregard for the earthly. It is the shortsighted earth tethered person who clamors for their own will even to the extent of being angry with God.

THE LIFE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN

We often equate our temporary loss with never ending or eternal loss yet there is something tremendously admired in one who will carry on. There are pivotal times in life where if we choose the temporary feeling, relationship, opportunity or whatever it can be eternally impacting and that temporary gain could equate eternal loss. Paradoxically when dealing with deep spiritual truths gain is loss and loss is gain. G n o of God w ll w n ll o n is loss

Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, (better off, advantaged) if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? o l- spirit, rational and immortal soul; vitality, If one gains everything they ever wanted and miss out and lose the life that god desired for them they may never know what they have lost. Oh the loss of really living due to a low consideration for the higher things of God. Jesus words are that we are going to have to take up our cross daily to follow him to our destiny, to his will Repression is a way to avoid thoughts and feelings that are uncomfortable for us. We get hooked into self absorption usually by fear or pain. We then to avoid dealing with the real issues will stuff our emotions and deny reality. Jesus said daily we are too carry our cross daily. Paul said I die daily and if he dies daily he resurrects daily to new life.

Life will teach is to see our cross as something to run from. It is too painful to deal with. I believe what Jesus wanted us to know is that it is too painful not to deal with it. What is your cross? Financial, guilt, relationships, fears, family, history, Whatever it is it must be carried daily. The one has believed that you can run from Gods will and be happy is bound to their constrictive thinking. I am praying today that the Lord heals your thinking. God will not put new wine into new bottles, New roads new blessings new direction new life will come to a new vessel. The vessel that holds the newness must itself first be new or renewed. The only thing, vision, anointing or direction that will inhabit your life if it remains old is the same old stuff, same old ending, the same old sad story. Get beyond that restrictive thinking that is not influenced by the Holy Ghost. The Holy ghost is foreward, mountain moving, lion taming, fire strating, fire quenching, nation changing, people saving, body healing, mind changing, family restoring, cancer healing, backslider rescuing, miracle working and nation changing. It is not too late for the life that could have been. From this day until the end of time we need to begin to believe God and lift our minds from low living, low thinking, and low receiving.

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Set your Affection on on - to exercise the mind, that is, entertain or have a sentiment or opinion; to be (mentally) disposed, intensively to interest oneself in Mat 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Peter focused on the suffering and death and could not understand the raising again) Mat 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. Rebuke to impose value and reverence, to admonish, censure and forbid. Mat 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Offense skandalon - A nd l; b nd o bow, (b n sapling), that is, snare occasion to fall offence, thing that offends, stumbling-block. Don get ensnared and hung up on the cross, that is not the end. There is a daily resurrection. What if we began to see things how they really are and how they can be?

Gal_2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Hopelessness does not flow from the Spirit of God. Psa 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Be of good courage - khaw-zak' to fasten upon; hence to seize, be strong obstinate; to bind, restrain, conquer: be established, harden, maintain, play the man, mend, become (wax) mighty, prevail, be recovered, repair, retain, seize, be urgent, behave self valiantly, withstand. He began to train, believing he was going to break that record. Sure enough, he went out one day and broke the four-minute-mile barrier. H ddw x d o ldn b don . H s name was Roger Bannister, and he made sports history. Within ten years after Roger Bannister broke that record, 336 other runners had broken the four-minute-mile record as well! Think about that. For hundreds of years, as far back as statisticians kept records, nobody ran a mile in less than four minutes; then, within a decade, more than three hundred people from various geographic locations were able to do it. What happened? Simple. The barrier to running a four-minute mile was in l nds. For all those years, runners believed what the experts were saying. They were convinced that it was impossible to run a mile in less than four minutes. Negative earthly anti-god thinking keeps us from being all and doing all God has planned for us. This is called a stronghold. A wrong thinking pattern that causes imprisonment in defeat at times for years and decades. 2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

If you will change your thinking, this will change your speaking and actions and sowing, which will then change your reaping and your life. Change your thinking and god will change your life. In 1962, Victor and Mildred Goertzel published a revealing study of 413 "famous and exceptionally gifted people" called Cradles of Eminence. They spent years attempting to understand what produced such greatness, what common thread might run through all of these outstanding people's lives. Surprisingly, the most outstanding fact was that virtually all of them, 392, had to overcome very difficult obstacles in order to become who they were.
