Human Rights

In many countries there are human rights abuses which keep people from doing things that they which to do child abuse is one of the most important form of human rights. Unlike the United States, where people has freedom of speech, freedom of religion ect also in the United States every child deserve the right to have an education, but in India its not so, poor children in India begin working at a very young and tender age when they are suppose to be in school getting a education, which every child deserves to get. Many children have to work to help their families and some families expect their children to continue the family business at a young age instead of going to school. One of this country is India, in this country children are forced into labor, and still not receiving the education that they deserve. According to research there are about 60 to 115 million working children the highest in the world. In addition they also states that the government refuse to look into the matter of child labor. According to research it was reported that in 1981 there were about 13.6 million child laborers in India. The reports had stated that child labor in India was divided into nine industrial divisions. These nine different industries are Cultivation Agricultural Labor Livestock, Forestry, Fishing, Plantation, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing, Processing, Servicing and Repairs, Construction, Trade and Commerce, Transport, Storage and Communication. Children under the age of 14 are forced to work in glass-blowing, fireworks, and most commonly, carpet-making factoriesThe boys types of work is very different because they often work long hours doing hard physical labor outside of the home for very small wages. Even though sometimes it is necessary for the child to work because their parents does not have the money, but I think that the parents should go out and work and have the children go to school and get an education. Most poor families in India sources of income are close to non-existent. There are no social welfare systems such as those in the West, nor is there easy access to loans. Sometimes when the children goes to work their managers give them less money than they are suppose to get. In India the research also states that it is essential for children to work in this country. Also in the work place children are also injured, they suffer from injuries such as the machines and from sharp threads. These children also get injured by, smoke, diesel fumes from the machines, which cause respiratory ailments such as chronic bronchitis and asthma. This countries is very policies are way different from the policies in the United States in that in the United States children are required to go to school, this is a law. Unlike in India the children have to go to work instead of going to school. I personality believe that this is unfair, even though life is not fair, children need to go to school and got a good education. This situation would be much better if children could have some schooling after the jobs, which are part-time, they could have been better trained in self-reliance, courage, discretion and responsible citizenship. Dont get me wrong there are schools in India but they are very discriminated, its like if the children are not rich they will be laughed at by the upper castes. Either way it is put children would still not able to attend school because the children of poor families would have to raise their siblings when the parents are away at work. This country

would also need day care centers to put babies in when their parents are at work so that the older children could go to school. From immersion in scalding water and handling dead worms, reelers' hands become raw, blistered, and sometimes infected These children need the government to help them by providing rights, which will protect them from child labor, laws that will keep them in school so that they will get a good education. According to research the policy of the government is to ban employment of children below the age of fourteen years in factories, mines and hazardous employment and to regulate the working conditions of children in other employment. The Child Labor Prohibition and Regulation Act, 1986 seeks to achieve this basic objective, but somewhat these laws was never approved, if they were approved then children would be able to attend school more than working. This law states that children under fourteen years of age could not be employed in hazardous occupations. This act also attempted to regulate working conditions in the jobs that it permitted, and put greater emphasis on health and safety standards. Even with these laws children are still doing labors instead of going to school. Also there are other laws that were passed to end child labor in India but these laws were not taken into effect no one will ever find out if these laws will ever be in effect. Indias policy on child labor has evolved over the years the present of laws relating to Child Labor in India have a pragmatic foundation and are consistent with the International Labor Conference resolution of 1979. Due to economic circumstances children has to work, if they want to support their family. The act does nothing to protect children who perform domestic or unreported labor, which is very common in India. In almost all Indian industries girls are unrecognized laborers because they are seen as helpers and not workers. Therefore, the law does therefore not protect girls. Children are often exploited and deprived of their rights in India, and until further measures are taken, many Indian children will continue to live in poverty. I think that the government to enforce these laws provide more jobs for the parents and provide day care centers for the younger children. In summary in many parts of the work there are human rights abuses, one of the most popular human rights abuse is child labor one of the countries that has child labor is the country India unlike in a few other countries children must attend school, to get a good education. Child labor is very harsh in India, and the government is doing nothing to enable laws for these children. When these children work and they get little to no money. They have to do hard labors just to help provide for their families. If they are not working they are home taking care of their younger brothers and sisters, while their parents are out working. Also while doing these labors cause the children to become injury. Injuries such as the machines and from sharp threads. These children also get injured by, smoke, diesel fumes from the machines, which cause respiratory ailments such as chronic bronchitis and asthma. Sometimes hot water falls on their hands and they have to hand dead worms, sometimes they have blisters when they are finish. I believe that the Indian government should step up to their jobs that is making sure every child gets a good education. The should have policies in which children must attend school.
