Authentic Performance Tasks Using G.R.A.S.P.S Topic: Quadratic Equation GOAL : You are the manager of a resort and you need to rent some function rooms for the tourists. You need to know how many available function rooms are to be rented with your limited fund using quadratic equation. ROLE AUDIENCE SITUATION : You are the Resort Manager : The target audiences are the Tourists and the Function Room Manager : There is an upcoming event in your resort, a huge amount of tourists will be having a series of seminar and they need function rooms for it. You rented a certain number of function rooms for Php28, 800 and since the function room manager was your schoolmate, he gave you a discount. When the price was reduced by Php20 per room, 6 more rooms were rented. You will find out how many available function rooms were rented. PRODUCT : You will get a copy of the transaction containing the details needed for the solution using quadratic equation. STANDARDS : Included in the transaction is the number of availability, the rate of the function rooms originally, the discounted price and all computations made.
