The INtools - FIRSTVUE interface provides you with a comprehensive add-on solution for transferring control valve data to and from FIRSTVUE. The interface comes with ready-made links and built-in export and import interfaces for ease of use. You will benefit from using the INtools FIRSTVUE interface whether you use FIRSTVUE on an everyday basis or only once. The interface eliminates the errors and manhours that are associated with manual re-entry of specification data.

Exporting and importing data

If you need to perform control valve calculations in the Fisher-Rosemount FIRSTVUE system, the INtools FIRSTVUE interface export function is the tool of choice. Just select the data you want to export to FIRSTVUE and click a button the INtools FIRSTVUE interface does all the rest and provides you with the appropriate files to import into FIRSTVUE. Once the calculations are completed in FIRSTVUE, you perform a fully automated import of data which sequentially updates the required process and calculation data fields in your INtools database.

The following sample illustrates an INtools specification data sheet where valve data is to be calculated in FIRSTVUE.

When this sheet data is exported to FIRSTVUE, the exported fields populate all the required FIRSTVUE fields. Now you can make the required calculations and pick the valve most appropriate for your needs. The sample screen shot below shows the selected Fisher valve data ready for export to INtools.

Once imported into INtools, the FIRSTVUE data updates the appropriate INtools fields. The valve sizing data can then be printed out as a standard INtools ISA specification sheet, as shown below.
