From Matt Proctor, 2013 NACC President

Welcome to the 2013 NACC! Louisville has a long association with victory. Its the hometown of Muhammad Ali, the Kentucky Derby and Louisville Slugger bats. Johnny Unitas played football at the University of Louisville, and the Cardinal mens and womens basketball teams made this years Final Four. A lot of winners have walked the streets of this city! But as you arrive this week, you may not be feeling like a winner. Maybe youre facing a tough ministry, tight finances, family conflict or a health crisis. Maybe youre limping off the playing field feeling discouraged, even defeated. But Gods got a great week in store for you! As you meet old friends and make new ones, Gods people will encourage you. As you worship and pray, Gods Spirit will refresh you. In the workshops and seminars, Gods wisdom will equip you, and with each message from Revelation, His Word will shoot adrenaline through your soul. Despite lifes challenges, there is hope: in Christ we are VICTORIOUS. So thanks for coming, and lets pass that encouragement to otherswhether a busy hotel employee, tired restaurant server or a hurting Christian brother. Prepare to walk the streets of Louisville like a winner! The NACC Board of Stewards Chairman, Prayer Chairman, Local Arrangement Committee Chairmen, and Managing Director would also like to welcome you. Please see their letters on page 87 and page 89.

Encounter Christ Powerfully

Matt Proctor Rev 1
On Tuesday evening, Matt Proctor will open with Revelation 1, reminding us that if we are to be victorious, we need a powerful vision of Christ. In Revelation 1, Jesus is not a meek and mild-mannered Mr. Rogers Messiah. He is a huge and towering figure, the Lion of Judah who will not be tamed, powerful enough to confront our sin and to comfort our fears.

In high school, Matt Proctor was a National Merit finalist who enrolled at the University of Iowa as a journalism major. After hearing Gods call, he transferred to Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. Now instead of broadcasting the bad news, he is proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Matt has served as a youth minister, preaching minister, Bible college professor and is now president of Ozark Christian College. His writing includes a book entitled 2 Timothy: Finish-Line Faith (2009), and he serves as a contributing editor for Christian Standard magazine, as well as president of the 2013 North American Christian Convention. He enjoys reading, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and travelling widely to preach about Jesus. Matt is especially grateful to God for his wife Katie and their six children Luke, Lydia, Clara, Carl, Conrad and Caroline.

Testimony

Love the Church Honestly

Aaron Brockett Rev 2-3
On Wednesday morning, Aaron Brockett will walk us through the seven churches in Revelation 2-3. The churches are a messjust like the ones we know. But Jesus still loves these churches, and well be challenged to love our own imperfect congregation.

Aaron Brockett is the Lead Pastor of Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN. Aaron was raised in Joplin, Missouri and graduated from Ozark Christian College. He began preaching while in college and, with his wife Lindsay, planted a church in California soon after graduation. Aaron and Lindsay are blessed with four great kids, Conor, Campbell, Kennedi, and Kadence. Aaron is passionate about people and helping them begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Testimony
Nonato Silva
Nonato Silva came to Christ because of a bottle of coke! Hes the youngest of a family of thirteen. Born in one of the poorest states of Brazil, he studied because of the determination of his mother and the help of many friends. He graduated with honors from Ozark Christian College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Christian Education. He went back to Brazil and became the preacher in his home church where he has served for the last 23 years. He and his wife Tanya are blessed with three children: Thalis, Nadya and Ian. Hes always ready to share a smile, to talk about heaven, and to eat homemade hash browns with bacon and eggs!

Endure Suffering Patiently

Jon Weece Rev 6-9
On Wednesday evening, Jon Weece of Southland Christian Church in Lexington will take us through the trials of Revelation 6-9: war, famine, murder, earthquakes. When we suffer, we sometimes ask, How long, Sovereign Lord? (Rev 6: 10). But Gods people endure patiently because we know a time is coming when God will wipe away every tear from their eyes (Rev 7:17).

Jon Weece was born and raised in Columbia, MO and graduated from Ozark Christian College. Following graduation, he spent four years in Haiti as a missionary. In 2000, he joined the teaching staff at Southland Christian Church (Lexington, KY). He became senior minister in 2003. Jon is the author of four books on the life of Jesus. He is married to Allison and they have two children: Ava and Silas. His deepest desire is to be a great husband and dad. In his spare time, Jon loves to fish, watch college football and basketball, and grill out.

The primary focus of CICM is evangelism along with leadership training, childrens ministry, vocational training, medical ministries, and outreach ministries. These benevolent ministries open many doors for evangelistic opportunities. Dr. Lall has spoken to audiences all over the world in a unique and captivating way. See Evil Clearly

Kyle Idleman Rev 12-18
On Thursday night, Kyle Idleman of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville will show us how evil is personified in Revelation 12-18 as a violent dragon, two grotesque beasts, and a prostitute. We need these shocking images because the world seeks to dress up ugly realities in beautiful disguises. To be victorious, we must see evil as it truly is, avoid being seduced by our culture, and remain fiercely faithful to Jesus.

Kyle Idleman is the teaching pastor at Southeast Christian Church (Louisville, KY). with over 22,000 in attendance every weekend. He is the best-selling author of Not a Fan: Becoming a Completely Committed Follower of Jesus (2011) and Gods at War: Defeating the Idols that Battle for Your Heart (2013) as well as author and presenter of numerous video curriculum. Kyles favorite thing to do is hang out with the love of his life, DesiRae. They have been married for seventeen years and have four children: MacKenzie, Morgan, Macy and Kael.

Desire Heaven Deeply

Joni Eareckson Tada Rev 21-22

To close the convention on Friday morning, special guest Joni Eareckson Tada will take us on a tour of the new heavens and new earth in Revelation 21-22. Sometimes we can get wrapped up thinking about this world and fail to focus on the next. But when this lady who has spent the last 45 years in a wheelchair as a quadriplegic speaks, I think we will all find our hearts stirred with a longing for heaven. As we head home, well all be looking forward to Home!

During her rehabilitation, Joni spent long months learning how to paint with a brush between her teeth. Her high-detail fine art paintings and prints are sought-after and collected. Her best-selling autobiography, Joni, and the feature film of the same name have been translated into many languages, introducing her to people around the world.

Victory Commands Dr. Mark Scott Regardless of a person's understanding of eschatology in the Book of Revelation and regardless of a person's understanding of the structure and symbols in the Book of Revelation, there are a plethora of commands in the Book of Revelation to obey. One verse contains four commands. Another verse contains two commands. Other commands are clearly implied. Four times in the book there is this phrase, "This calls for..." There are commands to repent, to hear, to be faithful, to wake up, to come out, and to praise God to mention just a few. Each day, some of the primary imperatives of the Book of Revelation will be studied in their context with application given for today. You are welcome to bring your breakfast to this relaxed environment. You can pick up your breakfast across the hall from the NACC Connecting Place Stage or at Starbucks in the lobby.

As students who exist to amplify Jesus life giving love to those around us, we live as those who are Called by God to live our lives by Gods standards, not the standards of our surroundings. God invites us to a better path to live in a way that is countercultural. As the church (ekklesia - called out ones), there is a set of expectations that God has for us. Truth is based on Gods truth. There is tension between where and how we are living and what God is calling us tothis is a better way of life that God has for us.

Hey Yall, I want to thank each of you at Christian Financial Resources for simply believing in Christs Church. We are completely humbled and blown away by how faithful our God is...our attendance more than doubled on Easter Sunday! We had been preparing for Easter weekend for several months, including amping up our marketing through radio and television advertising, Facebook, Google, and 5,000 direct mailers. We also kicked off a new message series called, Faith. Family. Ducks. based off of Duck Dynasty, which really hit home in our neck of the woods! Whens the last time you walked into a church on Easter Sunday only to find half the I have to believe that congregation decked out in camo? We encouraged each person in our congregation to take a leap of faith with us and invite at least 10 people to Easter service. The response was overwhelming! Here is what we witnessed on Easter weekend: Total attendance: 1760 9 accepted Christ for the first time 21 rededicated their lives to Christ We launched our first Saturday night service, and 409 attended 40% of the congregation was deployed to a variety of service areas

welcome letters
The North American Christian Convention (NACC) provides ideas, inspiration, and identity to Restoration Movement churches, ministries, and their leaders. The NACC began in 1927. The NACC attracts both vocational and non-vocational Christian leaders and their families. The NACC does not represent nor does it belong to an official denominational organizational structure of polity. Representatives from the NACC Leadership have written you welcome letters in their own words. We are so glad you could join us! David Eubanks NACC Board of Stewards Chairman On behalf of the Board of Stewards, I extend to you a hearty welcome to the North American Christian Convention. We are thrilled to be back in Louisville, Kentucky, where several great conventions have met before. In fact, Louisville was the site of my first NACC back in 1966. Our beloved Hugh Sensibaugh was the president. To get here, I made my first trip in an air conditioned car. I still remember the wonderful singing, powerful preaching, and grand fellowship. We are expecting this convention to build on the Louisville tradition. Matt Proctor and his executive committee have developed a marvelous program that will bless all who attend. As always, the NACC will provide an ideal setting for us to connect and reconnect with new and old friends, as we are reminded, challenged, and inspired concerning the victory that Jesus rescued for us through His death, resurrection and promised return. While you are here and after your return home, may God bless you with a renewed assurance of that victory. Chris Dewelt 2013 NACC National Prayer Chairman What an incredible theme we have this year: Victorious! This years North American Christian Convention will have many opportunities for all who gather in Louisville to come humbly before the Father seeking as one body, Thy kingdom come! Thy will be done! Here are a few of the prayer components for the 2013 NACC. A Passion for Prayer - Prayer testimonies will be given by international Christian leaders during the main sessions. These testimonies are directly correlated to the main theme of that particular session, and speak of God answering prayer in powerful ways. A Place for Prayer This year there is a prayer room that is easily accessible and highly useful. This room is available to all who wish to have moments alone with Jesus, or with people who can pray together with you. Look for the special banners that lead to the prayer room. A People of Prayer - The Unleashed for the Unreached prayer wall is here with us at this years NACC. The prayer wall focuses attention on the unreached people groups of the world. Here you can come and pray for specific peoples of the earth who do not have the Gospel. Staffing is available to assist and to provide take-home materials for an ongoing commitment to prayer.

The victory of the cross of Christ today begins with His daily victory in our hearts. This is best seen in a life of prayer. May NACC 2013 exemplify a people of prayer fully abandoning themselves to their victorious King! Tim Anderson 2013 NACC Local Arrangements Co-Chairperson Welcome to the NACC in Louisville, KY from your brothers and sisters of Southern Indiana and Louisville. The NACC has always been a special time for my family. My father who is a preacher would travel with my mom and four children from Mississippi where we would be inspired and encouraged by the gathering of thousands of believers. Those gatherings strengthened us to keep serving through tough times and awed us by learning what others were doing to advance the Kingdom. What a difference the NACC made in our lives and the lives of others. That is why it is such a joy for me to serve alongside such wonderful servants from Kentucky and Indiana. We are all excited to meet each of you and we pray that this years convention will enhance your service to the Lord. The convention this year will provide tremendous opportunities to be encouraged and empowered for the Kingdom. I pray you find that your needs are met and your ministry is renewed as you attend all the workshops, main sessions and reunions of your choosing. Embrace the encouragement and be Victorious as you return to your local ministries. We are thrilled that you are here.

Welcome Letters
Continued from previous page

Rick Burdette 2013 NACC Local Arrangements Co-Chairperson Greetings from Louisville, Kentucky. Hi YAll...or is it Hey, You All? I guess it doesnt really matter how the greeting is given if its from a heart that longs to share the love of Christ and His gracious fellowship. Im grateful that each of you will be coming to our home, so we can try and make it feel like home to you. Our theme this year is Victorious. Its the overriding message found in the book of Revelation. And for each of us who serve in the Kingdom of God that message is one we need every single day. And for some of you its a message thats sorely needed in your soul as you come from the front lines of battle... or maybe youre the mate, or child of the warrior serving in the heat of battle. I think that might be even a more difficult place. And you need to hear again how we win...how we overcome instead of being overcome. We are indeed Victorious, in Christ Jesus our Lord!!! So many servants have been hard at work preparing and praying for your visit, and I have to tell you that God has been at work in each of their lives as they prepare to share with you. You may not be able to attend every session or visit at every booth, but I can promise you that there will be something available constantly to repair your soul, encourage your heart and remind you of the victory. Matt Proctor shared his heart with us at Fern Creek Christian Church, where I serve. Passion and compassion flowed out of every pore of his body. As he shared about workshops, the main speakers, the student convention and many of the other special offerings it made all the efforts of our local arrangement team worthwhile...each smiling face that greets you, or volunteer who serves you will be an extension of Gods people serving together. Some youll see, others you wont. I have a son who returned from combat not too long ago. His mother and I will never forget the pride and the fear. After 18 months in the middle of the streets of Baghdad he came home. Its my favorite homecoming so far. I longed for it with every fiber of my being. And when I held him...well, you get the picture. One day the One we love the most is going to return. We are still on the battle field. I need...you need to be reminded of the victory. Until one day...and that Homecoming will be Victorious. Ill look forward to seeing All YAll July 9-12 here in Louisville.

Larry D. Collins NACC Managing Director and Meeting Planner Welcome to the 2013 NACC VICTORIOUS! Thank you for joining us in Louisville! I know that it is hard to schedule the time, find the resources, and plan the trip, but YOU made it happen. You have come to the right place. May you find a special blessing for your life this week. We are here to celebrate the VICTORY we have in Jesus, so let your light shine with everyone you meet, as the Message of REVELATION is proclaimed. The NACC, through its leadership and a dedicated staff, have worked very hard to make sure that your experience will be rewarding and filled with vision, learning, encouragement, fellowship, and prayer. Much has been planned to ensure that your visit will enrich you and all those who came with you. We are joined by many key program leaders, and service partners, who will be working diligently to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Over 20 local churches are also involved with close to 1,000 local volunteers to help with this event in all facets of your NACC Experience. You will see them in worship, workshops, special events, student and childrens programming, and assisting and serving in related areas all throughout your visit. Remember that they are serving out of appreciation for YOU and what you do for the Kingdom back home, so ENJOY yourself and HAVE FUN while you are here, as you are among FAMILY. If the NACC staff or I, or any of our many volunteers can help you in any way, please do not fail to engage us in that pursuit. We are here to listen and serve, and desire to be helpful to you so that you thoroughly enjoy this 2013 North American Christian Convention. Enjoy YOUR week! May this NACC Experience, with all that it has to offer, bring you closer to the Victory we have in Christ.
