TO STUDY VARIATION IN RAINFALL FOR CLIMATE CHANGE ANALYSIS Basic Theory: Weather: It is the immediate change in atmospheric condition,

such as rainfall, sunshine, cloud, wind, etc. Climate: It is the average of the weather for particular period of time. Season: It is the long term average of climatic pattern of a particular place. Nepal Meteorological service (NMS) has classified seasons of Nepal into four categories. 1. Pre-monsoon: March,April and May 2.Monsoon:June, July, August and September 3 Post Monsoon-October and November 4 Winter:December,January and February By using the rainfall data, do the following analysis in PSOW format. Q.1. Determine the annual rainfall in tabular form. Q.2. Determine seasonal rainfall of every year in tabular form. Q.3. Determine the draught years and dry monsoon season in tabular form (Draught/dry is the condition when the annual/seasonal average rainfall is less than overall average of all the year/ season). Q.4. Show total seasonal rainfall of year in pie chart (1 pie chart is sufficient) and yearly rainfall in bar graph. Evaluation criteria: Discussion, Evaluation and Conclusion (DEC) and Personal skills Note:All rainfall unit is in mm]
