WHEREAS, Section 39 of RA 9262, establishes the Inter-Agency
Women Council
on
Violence Against Women and Their (NCRFW)
Children (IACVAWC) composed of the
Secretariat
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as the chair; Department
of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as the co-chair; with the National
Civil Service
Commission on the Role of the Filipino Women (NCRFW); Commission Civil Service
(CSC)
Commission (CSC); Commission on Human Rights (CHR); Council for the Welfare
of Children (CWC); Department of Justice (DOJ); Philippine National Police (PNP);
Commission
on
Department of Health (DOH); Department of Education (DepEd); Human Department of
Rights (CHR)
Labor and Employment (DOLE); and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as
members. The Council members are primarily mandated to formulate programs

and projects to eliminate violence against women and their children (VAWC) based
of Education
on their mandates, develop capability building programs(DepED)
for their employees to
become more sensitive to the needs of their clients. The Council shall serve as the

monitoring body of VAW initiatives; of Health

WHEREAS, to effectively perform its tasks, the IACVAWCofagreed
Justice to observe a set
(DOJ)
of procedural rules in conducting meetings, frequency of meetings, creation of sub-
committees, decision-making, proper agency representation and other related

WHEREAS, the Secretariat prepared the Terms of Reference which IACVAWC

discussed and finalized during the past Council meetings; the Welfare

NOW, THEREFORE, ON MOTION DULY SECONDED, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT
IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the members of the IACVAWC, that the TERMS OF
REFERENCE shall be approved and adopted;
