Golden Anniversary (50 Years) of Aikido in the Philippines

March 2013 The Makati Aikido Club (MAC) is pleased to invite you to celebrate with us our 30th Anniversary this year. It is also the Golden Anniversary (50 years) of the introduction of Aikido in the Philippines. To celebrate these two milestones, three cooperating aikido organizations are offering a 3-day seminar to be led by Waka Sensei Mitsuteru Ueshiba, great-grandson of aikido's founder O Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. Assisting him will be Hiroshi Fujimaki Shihan, 6th dan, Jun Nomoto Shihan, 7th dan, and Tadashi Komenoi Sensei, 6th dan, former MAC Chief Instructor and Founder of Sri Lanka Aikido Federation. A total of 10 sessions featuring the four special guest instructors will fill out the three days from June 21-23, 2013. Promotion examinations for qualified students will be conducted on the last day. The anniversary celebration will be concluded through a farewell dinner party on the evening of June 23, 2013. This event is jointly organized with Aikido Philippines (AP), Filipino Federation of Aikido (FFA), and Pilipinas Aikido Propagation Association (PAPA).
