Calculate the value of external resistance. How duty cycle should be varied with speed so that the motor accelerate at maximum torque. 7. A 400V ,4 pole ,50 Hz ,three phase ,star connected induction motor has r1=0 , x1=x2=1, r2=0.4, xm=500. The induction motor is fed from (1) a constant voltage source of 231V per phase (2)a constant current source of 28A .For both the case calculate the slip at which maximum torque occurs and the starting and maximum torque. 8.
