- Common-rail, Pressure-timed, Unit injection and mechanical fuel injection are all fuel systems in which I have a large amount of experience. - Experience with container lifts as well as excavation machinery, this consisted of carrying out fault diagnosis, planned/preventative maintenance and running-repairs on mostly Volvo Penta D-series diesel plant as well as Caterpillar C-series diesel plant. - Lead a team of 8 marine engineers and 4 boat builders in equipping-for-service and de-commissioning vessels in their entirety. - Undertaken and supervised projects ranging from substantial GRP/steel repairs to complete extensive mechanical and electrical re-fits including financial control of a wide range of vessel types and configurations. - Played large roles in putting compiling build specifications, have been required to provide technical and functional expertise in hull and marine engineering aspects of the design review, throughout the build process right up to Pre Delivery Inspection and personally Sea trialling vessels. Throughout this I have managed to create an array of contacts and excellent working relationships with many of the renowned Boat builders and engine manufacturers throughout the UK. - Familiar with MCA vessel coding regulations and all existing health and safety legislation and conformities. - Currently required to be on 24hour emergency call out 7 days a week, this requires responding to break downs and carrying out emergency mechanical repairs afloat, covering the coast-line of the south of England, therefore I have to be extremely flexible at all times. - I have in excess of 3000 hours of experience on board motor cruisers and State of the art powerboats as engineer as well as coxswain. Achievements - Co-ordinated a team of marine engineers on-board a purpose built vessel to ensure the Olympic torch during the opening ceremony of the London 2012 games with David Beckham on-board was transported on time and safely. This was completed successfully. - Project managed a team of 8 engineers in providing mechanical support on board a fleet of vessels, deployed to provide protection for Barrack Obama and numerous heads of states during Summit meetings. - Managed two apprentices and one trainee engineer; this entailed demonstrating my engineering skills and knowledge to them, whilst nurturing to ensure they were consistent and capable within our engineering department. I monitored their progress closely and compiled monthly performance reports.
