Activity: Search, Find, Enroll, and Unenroll in a Course

Assumption You must have an Oracle University Knowledge Passport to perform all of the tasks in this activity.

Task You are a database administrator eager for information about new features in Oracle 9i. Specifically, you want to learn about managing data files and tablespaces. Now You Try 1. On your Home page, you decide to search using the Catalog feature. In the Catalog > Search and Browse page, you see two search options. You can enter a basic keyword search or browse the categories. Hint: If you are searching by keyword, you may want to check exact phrase to narrow your search results.

Check Your Success Task You arent sure that you want to enroll in the course just yet. You decide to find out more about the course first. Now You Try 2. Go to the courses Content Details page. Check Your Success Task The course looks like it might be just what you need, so you decide to enroll. Now You Try

3. Enroll in the course from the Content Details page. Check Your Success Task You have successfully enrolled in the course, but you dont want to play the course right away. You decide to return to your Home page and see what other self-paced courses youre enrolled in. Now You Try 4. Go to the Self-Paced Learning page, under the Home tab. Check Your Success Task You decide that you are enrolled in too many courses already, which you havent yet completed. You decide to unenroll from the course you just enrolled in. Now You Try 5. Unenroll from the course. Check Your Success Return to the Oracle University Knowledge Center Guided Tour, and go to the Activity topic, pages 2-5. There youll find the solutions to the questions you answered in this activity. How do you play the course from this Self-Paced Learning page?
