JOB AND GOD

Nel novembre del 2009 Lloyd Blankfein, presidente della Goldmann Sachs dichiar in unintervista al Sunday Times: Io sto facendo il lavoro di Dio. Qualche giorno dopo disse che si pentiva di quella frase che per lui era da intendersi come uno scherzo. Naturalmente era uno scherzo, sappiamo tutti che Blanckfein non ha la barba bianca e non circondato dagli angeli nel Settimo Cielo. Siamo cresciuti abbastanza da capire quel che il presidente Blanckfein intendeva dicendo che lui fa il lavoro di Dio. Intendeva dire semplicemente che quel che accade sulla Terra (inquinamento, miseria che si diffonde, guerre, distribuzione irrazionale delle risorse, appropriazione privata e distruzione del prodotto dellattivit di centinaia di milioni di lavoratori e di tecnici) supervisionato da Lui (Dio) e dai suoi collaboratori. Dio cominci a lavorare come consulente per lo stato Greco nel 2002. Anche prima che Goldmann Sachs entrasse nella faccenda, la Grecia stava gi falsificando le cifre per poter essere ammessa nella zona euro e per rientrare nei criteri di Maastricht. Spese gigantesche vennero dimenticate, ad esempio i soldi investiti nellacquisto di armi e aeroplani da guerra forniti dalle industrie militari tedesche. Nel febbraio del 2010, poi, i consulenti della Goldmann Sachs aiutarono il governo greco a mascherare lentit del deficit con la creazione di un derivato che aggirava le regole di Maastricht. In cambio della consulenza la Goldmann Sachs incass 600 milioni di euro. Negli anni successivi consulenti della Goldmann Sachs (come Mario Monti, per dire) punirono la Grecia per avere seguito i consigli di consulenti della Goldmann Sachs. Licenziarono il presidente eletto Georgi Papandreou perch aveva osato proporre un referendum per decidere se accettare le misure di austerity che stavano massacrando la societ greca. Insediarono un consulente della Goldmann Sachs, Lucas Papademos al posto di Papandreou, ridussero i finanziamenti per la scuola, la sanit licenziarono decine di migliaia di dipendenti pubblici, ridussero le pensioni e gli stipendi, spinsero la Grecia in un abisso di miseria e disperazione. Una prsona su tre disoccupata, la gente muore di malattie che si potrebbero curare, perch lassistenza sanitaria negata a chi non ha lavoro. Gli emigranti sono aggrediti da orde di nazisti. Un esercito di giovani senza casa e senza lavoro si aggira nelle strade di Atene lla ricerca di eroina. Com noto Dio fa quel che cazzo gli pare, no? Per esempio. Nella terra di Uz abitava un uomo il cui nome era Giobbe. Questuomo era onesto e senza peccato, temeva Iddio ed evitava il male. Aveva sette figli e tre figlie e possedeva settemila pecore, tremila cammelli cinquecento buoni e cinquecento asini, e aveva un gran numero di servi. Un giorno Satana venne a visitare il signore Iddio, e il Signore disse a Satana: Da dove vieni? Satana rispose: Ho fatto un giretto qua e l sulla terra. E il Signore chiese a Satana: Hai conosciuto il mio servo Giobbe? Non c nessuno sulla terra che sia come lui. E onesto e senza peccato, ha timore dIddio (di me, voglio dire) ed evita il male. Credi che Giobbe tema Dio senza ragione? Rispose Satana non hai forse messo una protezione intorno a lui e alla sua casa? Hai benedetto il suo lavoro, e quindi le sue mandrie e le sue greggi pascolano dovunque. Ma prova ad alzare la mano contro di lui e vedrai che ti maledir e ti sputer in faccia. Il Signore disse allora a Satana: Bene, tutto quello che ha in tuo potere, ma non alzare la mano contro la sua persona. Satana torn sulla terra e un giorno, quando i figli e le figli di Giobbe stavano festeggiando e bevendo vino, un messaggero venne da Giobbe e disse: I nostri nemici hanno ucciso i tuoi buoi e gli asini, hanno passato a fil di spada i servi e solo io sono scappato per poterti portare questa notizia. Mentre stava parlando, un altro messaggero venne e disse: Il fuoco caduto dal cielo e ha bruciato le pecore e i tuoi servi, solo io sono sopravvissuto per potertelo venire a dire. Poi cadde a terra in adorazione e disse: Nudo sono venuto dal grembo di mia madre e nudo me ne andr. Il Signore mi ha dato e il Signore ha preso. Possa essere lodato il nome adel Signore. Vi siete accorti che gli argentini stanno portando la parola di Dio nella nostra terra europea? Il cardinale Bergoglio assurto al soglio di Pietro per predicare la povert, e altri che nel 2001 sopravvissero al flagello del Fondo Monetario Internazionale sono sbarcati per distribuire biglietti da cinque euro alla popolazione italiana affamata. In November 2009 Lloyd Blankfein, the CEO of Goldmann Sachs declared in an interview to the Sunday Times: "I'm doing God's work." Several days later he indicated that he regretted that remark and said he had intended it as a joke. Of course it is a joke, we know that Mr. Blankfein has not a white beard and is not surrounded by Angels in the Seventh Heaven. But we are smart enough to understand what Mr. Blankfein was meaning by jokingly saying that his work is the work of God. He was simply meaning that what happens on Earth is supervised by Him (Blankfein) and his collaborators. God started consulting for the Greek state in 2002. Even before Goldman Sachs entered the picture in 2002, Greece was already cooking the books. To qualify for admission to the EU in 2001, the country had to achieve a budget deficit of not more than 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in line with the Maastricht requirements. The requirement was met with the help of blatant balance sheet cosmetics. One time, gigantic military expenditures were left out, and another time billions in hospital debt. Yes, gigantic military expenditures. Greece is actually buying weapons and fight airplanes. Guess who is the supplier? German military industries of course. In the following years Goldmann Sachs consultants (Mario Monti, just to name one of them) punished the Greeks because they had followed the suggestions of Goldmann Sachs. The President Papandreou was fired overnight after proposing a referendum, and was replaced by a Goldmann Sachs consultant named Papademos. In the following years Greeks have been pushed into an abyss of misery and violence. They have deserved it, because God does his job as He likes. Look at what happened in the land of Uz. In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East. His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, Where have you come from? Satan answered the LORD, From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it. Then the LORD said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. Does Job fear God for nothing? Satan replied. Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.

l 23 maggio funzionari della Banca Centrale Europea hanno compiuto il primo atto della remissione, consegnando la cifra simbolica di 5 euro a centinaia di cittadini, per segnalare l'inizio del processo di restituzione delle somme che il sistema bancario

ha sottratto alla vita civile e produttiva. Remissione un READY MADE SOCIALE, primo capitolo del Progetto C.R.I.S.I. portato avanti dal Gruppo Etcetera, vincitore del Premio Internazionale di Arte Partecipativa.

All citizens of Europe With this assignment of a five-euro bill, the European Central Bank, of which I am President, intends to begin the process of restitution of the resources that the European banking system has removed from the community over the past three years. Inspired by the theme of sharing recently proposed by Pope Francis - the same pope that in his own country, Argentina, has known and suffered the consequences of a catastrophe similar to the one that has recently hit all of you - we mean first of all to ask for forgiveness. In recent years, following disastrous economic policies driven by the greed of a few ones, we have made questionable choices. Our policies have impoverished workers, have forced entrepreneurs to lay off employees; have detracted resources to public education and healthcare system, to pensioners, to workers and entrepreneurs. All this was done only to rescue those banks who had squandered huge sums and distributing illicit profits and unreasonably high bonuses. Therefore, by virtue of the authority conferred upon us, we intend to make a gesture in this respect and start a process of reorganization of public life. The five euro note that our officials will distribute in the major Italian cities is a symbol and sign of the beginning of a new deal. We recall also that each citizen will have, from this moment onwards, the right to compensation - up to the amount of five thousand euros - of what he has lost due to the wrong policies of the European Authority. Mario Draghi (Roma, 1947) un economista italiano presidente della Banca Centrale Europea dal 2011. Tra il 1985 eil 1990 fu direttore esecutivo della Banca Mondiale e tra il 2002 e il 2006 fu governatore della Banca dItalia e vicepresidente per lEuropa di Goldman Sachs, quarta banca di investimento nel mondo. Durante la sua gestione si distinse come uno dei massimi responsabili nellassistenza al Primo Ministro greco Kostas Karamanlis per loccultamento della vera dimensione del deficit greco e per la falsificazione che ha reso possibile lentrata della Grecia nelleurozona. Ideologo delle politiche di taglio e di austerit, il 2 maggio del 2013 ha realizzato due performances durante una conferenza stampa nella citt di Bratislava: imitando la firma di unopera da parte di un artista, Draghi ha firmato una riproduzione gigante dellimmagine del nuovo biglietto da 5 euro. In seguito, con linno europeo An Die Freude come musica di fondo, ha autografato biglietti da 5 euro che sono poi stati consegnati a un gruppo di bambini poi in posa con i biglietti ben esposti per la telecamera e la macchina fotografica.

La firma dellartista uno degli elementi pi emblematici e spesso il pi importante elemento perch il pubblico possa verificare lautorialit di unopera. Solo nel XV Secolo, con le grandi figure del Rinascimento, gli artisti cominciarono a firmare le opere sancendo cos il riconoscimento sociale del genio artistico. Da allora si considerano gli artisti come persone capaci di realizzazioni che superano la normalit. Dato leccezionale personalit del presidente della BCE, protagonista della scena del capitalismo finanziario, tutto quel che riguarda la sua persona riveste un interesse particolare. Tutti parlano del presidente della BCE, di quel che fa e di quel che dovrebbe fare. Per questo la sua firma il sigillo finale che legittima il processo attuale di crisi e che garantisce il non futuro del continente. Certamente lInternazionale Errorista ha compreso la grandezza del disastro e si proposta di far giustizia e di restituire al popolo un poco di quel che gli appartiene. Perci si pu intendere la REMISSIONE come un atto di redistribuzione. La raccolta di

firma collettiva la rivendicazione di chi firma un contratto, acquisisce un debito, aderisce a una richiesta e riceve un assegno in bianco. Concettualmente nella Remissione si ripartisce denaro reale che proviene dalle tasse pagate dai cittadini, cos da poterlo reinserire nel circolo vizioso di uneconomia fittizia. I partecipanti e i passanti casuali che hanno assistito al primo atto di REMISSIONE sono stati invitati a ripetere la performance di Draghi e a firmare una riproduzione gigante del nuovo biglietto di 5 euro. La firma rivela il segno di una personalit, e contemporaneamente legittima e attribuisce valore. In queste ricevute di pagamento vi sono alcuni che hanno firmato per appoggio alla causa, altri che lo hanno fatto per non rimanere fuori e altri infine che per necessit si sono visti obbligati a farlo. Coscientemente o incoscientemente le duecento persone che hanno firmato LA REMISSIONE e hanno ottenuto in cambio cinque euro hanno partecipato allesecuzione di unopera di READY-MADE SOCIALE. Considering that conceptually in LA REMISSIONE is distributed real money, which comes from the taxes of their own citizen, and then finally, it returns into the vicious circle of this fictitious economy. The signature reveals personalities, legitimizes and provides value. And in these forms are those who have signed in support of the cause, those who did it so as not to be left out, and those who by necessity they were forced to do it. Consciously or unconsciously, those two hundred persons who signed LA REMISSIONE and has received in return five euros, whether as a game or within the very reality, have been participated in the execution of a work of SOCIAL READY-MADE.
