Sublimation
Sublimation is the process by which an image printed
on paper is transferred to another surface (or substrate).
Unlike conventional inks, sublimation inks are converted
directly from a solid to a gas under heat and pressure,
causing them to bond with the fibers of synthetic materials
such as polyester. The molecules of ink revert to a solid
state upon cooling, permanently staining the surface of the
polyester.
What is the sublimation process?

1. Create layout using your graphic design software.
2. Personalize by adding text.
3. Print the design on an ink jet printer loaded with
sublimation inks.

4. Print as a mirror image onto high quality inkjet

(sublimation) paper.
5. Preheat heat press.
6. Position transfer and imprintable blank under
heat press.

MAXI-PRESS
The MAXI-PRESS is a multipurpose large format manual
heat press intended for the imprinting of a vast range of
different materials. The MAXI-PRESS provides an oversized
platen, production oriented press with the option of a
single loading table or twin shuttle table configuration. It is
available in two different heater block sizes: 30 x 40 and
40 x 64. The gas shock counter springs provide a weightless and effortless operation of the press. The Digital
Knight state-of-the-art control system accurately regulates
all aspects of the electrical functions of the press, freeing
the operator for the main goal of material printing.
Ideal applications the MAXI-PRESS has performed flawlessly include: large fabrics, multiple piece goods, banners,
floor mats, carpets, mouse pads, plastics, sheet metal,
tile & other ceramics and much more. The MAXI-PRESS
strongly supports sublimation transfer processes, as well
as digitally produced transfers, hot and cold peel plastisol
transfers, and laminating processes.

MAXI-PRESS AIR
New!
The MAXI-PRESS AIR is an automatic large format heat

transfer press intended for more automated and higher
pressure needs than the manual version. The MAXI-PRESS
AIR provides an oversized platen and a better productionoriented press with a single front loading table and high
pressure pneumatic lifting system.
This pressure system is powered by a dual air-bag, 10-ton,
20,000 lbs max force self leveling mechanism. The press
is activated with a push of a button, and automatically
releases at the end of the timing cycle. The front console
features the Digital Knight control, regulating digital temperature and digital automatic timing control, as well as
full air pressure regulation.
The heavy steel triple reinforced welded C-frame design
is built to withstand a lifetime of intense pressing and
automatic operation, and allows for full draping of materials over the front, left and right sides of the press without
hindrance.

SubliCloth and SubliFlock

SubliCloth & SubliFlock materials give us an easy way to
place graphic designs on fabric or clothing items that are
unsuitable for direct sublimation. Some applications may
include baseball caps, non-polyester products such as jackets, fabric bags, and other cloth items that cant be heat
pressed at high temperatures.
SubliCloth is a heavier, smoother polyester fabric with heat
activated adhesive on the back.
SubliFlock is a softer, felt-like cloth material, with heat
activated adhesive on the back.

Ceramic Spacerless Tiles from Bison

Bison Tiles come in three different finishes, Dura Satin, Glossy and Matte. DuraSatin
finish ceramic tiles are resilient and scratch resistant, but with a semi-gloss finish.
These can be used in backsplashes, showers and wall murals. Not recommended for
floors, countertops or exterior applications. The matte and satin tiles are recommended
for vivd photo and art reproductions. The glossy tile is susceptible to scratches and is
not recommended for surfaces that require frequent cleaning. Best for decorative use
only in tile stands and as framed pieces.

The tumbled stone tile has a flat stone finish that presents any art or image in an oldworld fashion. It is a compressed sandstone product. Each tile is individually cut, causing some variation in color, texture, size and thickness. You may find chipped edges

All C.O.D. orders over $500.00 will be shipped certified C.O.D. unless arrangements are made
with the credit department.

Freight: F.O.B. Johnson Plastics, unless otherwise noted. Shipping and handling charges will be added to

your invoice.

Drop shipments or special order of non-stock items may incur additional freight charges.
Return Goods Authorization:

Merchandise will not be accepted without authorization from your customer service representative.

Notify our customer service department with an itemized list of products, invoice number and reason

for the return.

Acceptable returned goods will be subject to a 15% restocking charge.

No return authorization or credit will be granted after 30 days of invoice date, or for returned material
that is not in resalable condition.

All authorized merchandise returns must be sent to the originating Johnson Plastics warehouse
location.

SUBLIMATION INKS, ONCE OPENED, ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

MINIMUM BILLING: $25.00 PER ORDER.
A service charge of $25.00 will be assessed for any check returned by your bank for any reason.
A service charge on overdue accounts will be assessed at the rate of 1 1/2% per month

(equivalent to 18% per year).
Special order or drop shipped items cannot be cancelled more than 24 hours after the order has
been placed, and are non-refundable.
Not all stock items are inventoried at all JP locations.
Large orders for custom cut, fabricated, or special order material may require a down payment prior
to processing the order.

Shipments are via Parcel Service, and Motor Truck. All orders will be shipped by the lowest cost surface transportation, usually UPS if weight is permissible (unless other arrangements have been approved). Whenever possible,
