N-Fab/TiLUBE/Yamaha Motocross Round 3 Race Report

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (June 5, 2013) Round three of the Pro Motocross Championship went off this past weekend in Blountville, Tenn. with the Built Ford Tough Tennessee National. This was the inaugural round at the Muddy Creek facility and a picture perfect day welcomed the N-Fab/TiLUBE/Yamaha riders. Phil Nicoletti and Chris Blose both qualified nd th easily into the motos via the 22 and 30 positions, respectively. Nicoletti got off to a fantastic start in Moto 1 just inside the top 10. Blose struggled a bit off the line and would have his work cut out for him. Riding well and fighting hard for positions, Nicoletti was holding down eighth place at the halfway mark. Blose was continuing to make his way up through the pack in search of valuable points. As Moto 1 came to a close, Nicoletti sat comfortably th in eighth while Blose rebounded to 28 . Moto 2 would be a bit of a reversal for the st duo with Blose starting in 21 and Nicoletti recovering from a first turn crash. Blose would fight with the pack to maintain position, while Nicoletti worked his way through the field. After battling his way up to th 15 on lap seven Nicoletti was force to pull off with a mechanical issue. Blose would continue to fight as hard as he could to maintain his position and would ultimately rd cross the line in 23 . Nicoletti would be rd credited with 33 for the laps completed. Moto 1 was great and I was ready to back it up in Moto 2, said Nicoletti. But a crash on the start and some bad luck later on kept me from repeating my good finish. My confidence is high and I am really starting to get comfortable on my Yamaha 450, so I am sure I can be back inside the top 10 next weekend. I seem to be so close but things are just not falling into place, said Blose. Moto 2 was going better and I fought with a bunch of guys looking to get into the top 20. I hit the wall near the end of the moto so I will go home this week and push even harder to be ready for next weekends race. The Pro Motocross Championship travels to High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa. this Saturday, June 8 .
