The war against this illness is developing in favour of the sufferers. A group of Spanish researchers have carried out lots of investigations in this field , experimenting on animals the effects of this dissease. This group is headed by Ramn Cacabelos (they are members of EuroEspes Biomedical Research Center) and it looks as thanks to them, we will have the cure for the Alzheimer.

POLICE OFFICERS OF

CERDANYOLA.

The wife of one of the policeman of Cerdanyola uploaded the video to You tube.
It seems that the partner of one of the policeman had started divorce proceedings and the woman wanted to take revenge uploading the video to You tube. In the video you can see that the two police officers were dancing, without the safety belt and doing obscene gestures. The town hall of Cerdanyola has taken disciplinary action and a file has been opened on them. The two policemen have been suspended without pay and in these difficult times with the crisis, they havent got a job.

GENERAL STRIKE.
The 26th of September , the nationalist unions (ELA, LAB, ESK, CGT, STEE-EILAS, EHNE and HIRU )have called on a general strike to complain about the cuts that the Spanish government has put in the Basque Country. Some people say that there isn't another alternative apart from demonstrations. They think that we aren't Spanish , so we dont have to follow the Spanish protocol. The strike has made a big impact in industry, commerce, education... and it has been most noticeable in Biscay and Gipuzkoa.

Local elections.
The past Sunday, the 21st of October, the Basque Country had local elections. Polls were opened at 9:00am and closed at 20:00 pm. The per cent of voters had been lower than the previous ones. The PNV/EAJ had collected the best results; followed by EH BILDU (Laura Mintegi); and Iigo Urkullu (PNV/EAJ) will be the next lehendakari. Here you have the obtain results:

Nowadays things have changed and most of the children have the advantage of going to school and having a good education. Here for example, you have lots of facilities to go to class (by bus,car,on foot...), but in other countries, its totally different because of the culture, political situation and the money (some girls from some parts of the world cant go to class,its forbidden for them ). This situation is a pity because we are in the 21st century and they must have our same rights to have a good lifestyle. Here we have the great example of THE CABLE CHILDREN. This group of kids is from Colombia and they are between 7 and 11 years old. They want to go to school,so the only way to do it is crossing a very steep valley using an 800-feet-long steel cable that is suspended 200 metres high above a very fast and dangerous river. People who practise extreme sports might find it adventurous , but those children are risking their lives to go to school.

After seeing this video we dont feel very well. We havent seen this as clear as in this video. Its a mix of all the wars that have happened in the world. We dont think wars and vengeance are necessary,we have to learn to forgive and wars are only politic and economic problems because the richest want to have everything and they are ready to do anything to achieve what they want. We have to help these people to build a better future for the people they love. The least fault they have, the more they suffer..But what can we do to make their lives better? Genital herpes : There is no cure for herpes, but treatment is available to

reduce symptoms and decrease the risk of transmission to a partner.

HIV/AIDS & STDs : If you have an STD, get treatment because people

who are infected with STDs are more likely than uninfected persons to acquire HIV infection. There are many steps you can take to reduce your risk of STD and HIV.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) : The Human papillomavirus can infect the skin

or mocous membranes (like the genitals, or inside the mouth). They cause warts. There are over 100 different virus types in this group. About 30 virus types can be transmitted sexually. About 12-15 can cause cancer.

Syphilis : Syphilis is easy to cure in its early stages. Signs and symptoms of

syphilis include a firm, round, small, and painless sore on the genitals, anus, or mouth, or a rash on the body, especially on the palms of the hands or the soles of the feet.
Trichomoniasis: The infection often has no symptoms although women are

more likely to get them. You may notice an unusual genital discharge. Without treatment, trichomoniasis can increase a persons risk of acquiring HIV. Pregnant women with trichomoniasis can deliver premature, low birth weight babies.

Be careful when you have sex because you can get any of those diseases and you won't realize until the symtoms are too noticeable. Visit your doctor regularly.

BECATU FESTIVAL.
This Saturday, is going to be celebrated Becatu music festival in the BEC (Bilabao Exibition Centre). Lot of young people will be there and they will be able to enjoy some of the symbols of the Basque music of nowaday. Berri Txarrak, Esne Beltza, Willis Drummond, Zea Mays eta Zuloak.They have already sold all the tickets and the festival is going to start at 18:00 p.m.

JARRILLEROS S.K. BERRIOTXOA.

Last Sunday,28th of October, Jarrilleros S.K. played a basketball match in Kanpazar sports hall. The match started at 16:30pm and finished at 18:00. The local team, Jarrilleros, beat Berriotxoa 49-15. The game wasn't interesting because Jarrilleros started wining them from the very beginning. With this victory, Jarrilleros has obtain the firts position in the clasificatory and the girls are very happy.

PERFECT HOLIDAY.
Europe, Italy, Rome. We have decided to go on holiday to Rome because we think it is so beautiful, there are a lot of interesting places to visit and we want to learn to speak Italian. You have to follow these steps to enjoy yourshelf and to make the most of your time in the city. First of all, you have to decide when you are going and how you are moving there. We are going from the 20th to the 29th of June and we are travelling by plane with Vueling at the cost of 100 . We think that hotels in Rome are very expensive, so we are staying in a flat. We want a flat that more or less is in the middle of the city and we don't want it so big because we are only two. Taking all the above into account, we have booked a single room with two beds, a bathroom, wi-fi, a livingroom... at it is only 40 per night! As you know, Roma is huge and we have 10 days to enjoy ourselves visiting it , so we have to do a planning of what we are doing each day.

We are arriving too late to do something productive , so we are going directly to the flat. We want to see more or less all the things that we are going to visit the next days, so we are going to have a tour on a touristic bus to have references of the city. We are going to the oldest part of Rome to visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. After seeing that, we are going to have lunch in a restaurant with views to those monuments.

We want to see the Borghese's art museum. It is a gallery of some artworks that the Borghese Roman family had and now, it has become a museum. After visiting the museum, we are going to rent two bicycles and we are going to have a bike ride around Rome.

24th

We can't come back home without going shopping in that luxurious street called Via Condotti, so we are spending all the day there finishing the visit to Piazza di Spagna.

25th

We will be very tired after a shopping day, so we are going to some Roman thermal baths to relax.

26th

We are using this day to see the monuments that are in the oldest part of the city. We are going to visit Piazza Navona where we are having lunch .Next we will visit the Pantheon, and finally we are going to the Fontana di Trevi and we are going to throw a coin as a symbol of our desire to return to the city.

27th

Piazza Pantheon Fontana di Trevi. Navona. . We are traveling by bus and we are going to visit the Vatican city. We are going to visit the Sistine Chapel and we are having a walk in this country.

We are spending our last day in this amazing city in Trastevere, a neighborhood that is across the river and we are having lunch there.

We are going to the airport to return to Loiu at 5 o'clock
