Fraud

Scenario
Recruitment by a HR without Approval from the higher authority. Recruitment by a HR during his/her notice period in company or after leaving the company. Recruitment without requirement / beyond capacity. Who is accountable ?

False

In all above cases the HR is responsible. In some cases it happens with the knowledge of the Placement Officer/College Authority. But it is very difficult to know as recruitment decision is an internal matter of a company and limited people are involved in it from company side Impact Although company exist, but offer letter is not valid, students may not get joining, Company may not honor the offer letter or LOI. Identification If we will see a non popular/ SME company is visiting many campus and recruiting many students, then we need to verify the status with top management of the company and must go through other parameters also.

Case: 1 : Job in true company Favorable Condition, No problem, Good career start

Impact on Students

Case: 2 : No Job Impact on Students (Three situation for a student) Students may continue to try for a decent offer or can think for higher study etc.

Case: 3: Fake Job Students will think he/she is having an offer in hand, so as a human tendency he/she will stop working for next job interview. But after 6 month of his/her study, when he/she will get information that the company/ offer letter is fake, We can imagine the situation i.e. Mental Harassment , again struggle start after months of inactiveness , pressure for interview preparation as well as loan repayment. Parents/Relatives must be asking What happen, When Your joining?.What answer a student will give?

Process to stop this practice

Parents / Students must give important to quality of teaching/training, infrastructure & Human resource of the institution during admission process. They must give less important to placement . Institutions must give more important to students career development in qualitative terms i.e. Career counseling , Career Guidance & employability skill development. Institutions must not go behind the quantitative terms i.e. number of placement . Corporate must visit institutions directly rather through consultant. As corporate have introduced a mechanism to verify students background in formation, there must be a mechanism to verify a recruitment process.
