Totally Fit celebrated their one-year anniversary at the home of Debbie Johnson in May. A special thanks went out to the volunteer leaders and instructors, but each woman who has joined our community contributed to making this a great year! In attendance were vendors who share our likeminded passion for a healthy lifestyle. Main Squeeze, Coastal Coffee Roasters, The Sprout, Anns Gourmet 2 You, and Angel Blends shared delicious samples with us. We were happy to have them participate and encourage you to support them in the community! Door prizes were donated by Poe Minton, owner of Southern Bling.

We are fortunate to have Stephen P. Dowdney, author and canning expert share his tips and techniques at a canning workshop on June 19th at 10am. You may have met him at the downtown farmers market! Each participant will bring an assigned fresh vegetable to add to the pot and will go home with a pint of Homemade Vegetable Soup. Food 4 Thought is our newest partner with Totally Fit!! There will be many educational initiatives of which several occur this month. Its what you learn after you know it all that counts-John Wooden At the Lunch and Learn Rhonda Ewing will share her secrets to Effective, Efficient, & Economical Eating, an E4 lunch. Suggested donation $5. Participants must register and will be limited to 20. F4T is also hosting the hmm-burger cookout. So what is a hmm-burger? You tell us! Bring 2-4 meatless burgers to enter the best hmm-burger contest OR your favorite side dish and recipe to share. If you dare, bring swimming attire and join in a friendly game of water volleyball in the pool. Buns, condiments, tea, & water provided. Leigh Anne Ambrose, Owner/Personal Trainer at L A Bodies Training and Fitness, will offer a great beach workout for you on June 8th and 22nd.
