Requests and commands are formed using the "to-infinitive" in statements and "not + toinfinitive" in negative statements.

If we report somebody's commands, we use the verb told. If it's a request, the word used in the main clause is usually asked. He asked me to close the window.

Commands Go to bed! He told me to go to bed. Don't go to bed! He told me not to go to bed.

Requests Could you buy some eggs? She asked me to buy some eggs Don't buy any eggs please. She asked me not to buy any eggs.

Reported commands, affirmative sentences and negation sentences

Finish the sentences using Reported speech. Always change the tense, although it is sometimes not necessary. Example: Peter: "Clean the black shoes!" Peter told me _________________________ Answer: Peter told me to clean the black shoes. Example: Peter: "Don't clean the black shoes!" Peter told me _________________________ Answer: Peter told me not to clean the black shoes.

Ejemplos:

- My mom told me to clean up my room. - Molly told Jason to do the laundry tomorrow. - My teachers told me to study harder this semester if I wanted to pass. - We told Melissa to stop dying her hair blond every month.

Ejemplos:

- Jackson asked Jenny to marry him. - Tessa asked us to go over her condo next Friday night. - My cousins asked me to tell my aunt that they were sleeping if she called*. - I asked Bianca to lend me her notes.

Para finalizar, la forma negativa del RSR se crea agregando el respectivo "not" antes de "to". - Tessa asked us not to go over her condo next Friday night. - We told Melissa not to stop dying her hair blond every month. Reported Commands and Requests The (RCR) are both included in the Reported Speech (RSP), ie, the RSP is the general name given to encompass all the categories included. Now, I guess you know that the RSP is to tell someone what you or anyone else said. The difference is that information is expressed, if an order or command (command) or a petition or request (request). Generally take two forms practically the same structure with some minor changes, so I'll explain individually to understand.

2. - The RC is based on someone telling you what you ordered or commanded to someone or what someone else ordered to another person. You see, here is used "told" because you need to give an order go to someone. examples: - My mom told me to clean up my room. - Molly Told Jason to do the laundry tomorrow. - My teachers told me to study harder this semester if I wanted to pass. - We Told Melissa to stop dying her hair blond every month. 3. - The RR is based on telling someone what you do you ask or request someone similar is the structure that the RC, only uses the verb "asked" (order) should be more subtle. examples: - Jackson asked Jenny to marry him. - Tessa asked us to go over her condo next Friday night. - My cousins asked me to tell my aunt That They Were Called sleeping if she *. - I asked Bianca to lend me her notes. Finally, the negative form of RSR is created by adding the respective "not" before "to". - Tessa asked us not to go over her condo next Friday night. - We Told not to stop Melissa dying her blond hair every month.

Cmo pasamos rdenes a estilo indirecto?

Estilo indirecto: My father told me to work hard for my exam. Estilo directo : My father told me : Dont get back home late! Estilo indirecto: My father told me not to get back home late.

Estilodirecto : My father asked me : Would you mind washing my car? Estilo indirecto : Mary father asked me to wash his car En caso de que la peticin sea negativa, anteponemos not al infinitivo :

Estilo directo : My mother asked me : Would you mind not saying anything? Estilo indirecto : My mother asked me not to say anything
