ARCHITECTS OF CHANGE News

Mr. Martins Grade 3 Family Communication

This Week, the Architects will: Solve multi-step addition and subtraction problems that require you to pay attention to details and understand the operations necessary to accurately compute them. Write letters, journals, and narratives that use descriptive language and details. Use text evidence to support reading comprehension questions for fiction and informational texts. Explore circuits, electricity, and magnetism. Participate in completing End of Year Assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts End of Year Assessments We are in our last couple of weeks of school. This week is very important and provides us with critical feedback on whether or not your son will progress to the fourth grade. We ask that you ensure your son comes to school on time, prepared for learning, and gives his best effort! On Tuesday, we will take our English Language Arts End of the Year Assessment On Wednesday, we will take our Mathematics End of the Year Assessment On Thursday, we will complete our final End of Year Writing Prompt

On the Road to Honor Roll Students: Students who have a 3 in all academic subject areas so far this term: Yonis Adan, Jayro Billingsley, Noah Brown, Dajuan Carter, D.J. Dixon, Javier Figueroa, Jakhai Harris, Isaias HuembesZelaya, Kamarii McDonald, Jamari Nedd, Hanle Pimentel Cantara, Alexander Pizarro, Renalto Rodrigues, Ethaniel Zayas We are off from school on Monday, June 17th for Bunker Hill Holiday. Please ask your son why Bunker Hill is so important.

Field Trip Schedule We are excited to participate in field trips that connect what we have learned all year throughout our school community. We are still looking for field trip chaperones to share in these experiences. If we do not have field trip chaperones on next Tuesday and Wednesday, we will not go! We will be traveling by MBTA, so please prepare for travel by bus and subway. Here are the scheduled field trips from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: June 18th Boston Childrens Museum th June 19 Museum of Science of Boston th June 25 Boston Public Library @ Copley (Cancelled)

To participate on these field trips (which are privilegesnot required), students must:

Demonstrate great behavior at all times. Complete homework and class assignments on timenot just the day of or before a field trip, but throughout the time they are given. Wear complete school uniform. Bring lunch the day of the field trip.

The Freedom Trail On June 5th we traveled to on the Freedom Trail and had an opportunity to see Bunker Hill Monument, the USS Constitution Battleship, and the Old State House.
