Citibank is the first U.S. bank to introduce ATM in the 1970s, in order to the reduction of "teller" man and gives 24-hour access to account. Citibank was founded in 1812 and in 1930, Citibank became the largest bank in the world with more than 100 branches in 23 countries. Now Citibank is the consumer and corporate bank of financial services giant Citigroup, the largest kind in the world. Citibank has operations in more than 50 countries in the world. Citibank first present in Indonesia in 1918 through the previous company, The International Banking Corporation in Batavia and Surabaya. Although the branch was closed in the 1920s, Citibank is back in Jakarta in 1968 and offers a variety of banking services. 4 Citibank business groups, namely Banking Services (Retail Banking), Credit Cards, Personal Loan and Citifinancial. Citibank retail banking in Indonesia operates 19 branch offices and 102 ATMs in six major cities in Indonesia. Banking Services (Retail Banking) Citibank has expertise in the areas of Wealth Management, which is a world-class service that prioritizes personal services which Citibank provides financial consulting services so that customers can grow and assets are protected. This service also comes with an extensive ATM network. Even more, access information via Citibank Online (Internet Banking), Citi Mobile (Mobile Banking), and cutting-edge innovation that, Citibank Webcam Service that allows customers to meet face to face through a screen with Citibank staff. Citibank Indonesia began issuing credit cards in 1989. It currently offers nine types of credit cards. Payment network in Indonesia consists of more than 11,000 payment points, 13 banks and a post office from which customers can pay their credit card bills. Online payment facilities are also available. Citibank Indonesia's main expertise is in the field of wealth management, which provide financial advisory services to clients. Citibank has a 24-hour helpline for customers CitiPhone banking. Citibank Indonesia also offer bank loans, deposits and insurance to customers.

Citibank introduced Citibank Personal Loan in 2003. Citibank Personal Loan is intended to serve the financial needs of customers by supplying easy of and convenience of obtaining loan funds. These loans are available without the need for collateral and have a competitive interest rate. Citibank offers loans begin from Rp. 4 million to Rp. 200 million with lower repayments maximum time of 36 months. Usually these loans are used for education, travel, home renovation, marriage and other needs. Citibank Citifinancial launched in August 2004 - as a lender for the lower middle class. Products in the form of loans with fixed repayment methods and flexible up to 48 months. In lending, Citifinancial has always emphasized the importance of budgeting and cash flow analysis process. Currently Citifinancial has 56 branches spread across six major cities. In 2007, Citifinancial in collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia. This collaboration intent to expand the coverage area of Citifinancial in Indonesia's market reach by utilizing the breadth of distribution of PT Pos Indonesia.
