The governments initiative to develop Indonesias port and infrastructure sector has created new opportunities for investors worldwide. The aim of this workshop is to provide current and potential investors with a comprehensive guideline on how to plan and implement terminal projects in Indonesia backed by real-world case studies, market analysis and effective solutions to everyday challenges faced by businesses. The Workshop will cover: An analysis of Indonesias investment environment Legal barriers of entry Project financing Feasibility study - Technical and Commercial Risk identification and management Workshop leader: Dr. Mark Yong Mark Yong started his maritime career with P&O Containers and then subsequently P&O Nedlloyd in 1994. His 9 years with the company saw a major part of the time spent in emerging markets such as Vietnam, Cambodia and China, alongside the UK. In year 2008, Mark joined BMT Asia Pacific, as Associate Director, based in the Hong Kong office. One of his key roles includes overseeing the Shipping/Ports Business development activities in the region.

The over utilization and under development of ports has been a major contributor in raising the logistics costs in Indonesia.
