God moves in our lives every single day. I saw this clearly when my son, Josiah, joined VOHCS. Josiah is only four years old but he already knows how to count by tens, fives, and twos. He also knows how to spell numbers one to twenty. More importantly, God has been using Josiah to teach us, his parents.

There are two events last year that stood out to me. Josiah got chickenpox during the second grading period. As I was giving him a sponge bath while he lay down, he said, Mom, I will tell Jesus to heal me. My husband and I looked at each other. We realized that VOHCS teachers are teaching our boy well, not just in his academics but also in his relationship with

God. Our son knows how to say simple prayers and I learn from listening to him. On another occasion, I let Josiah get in a tricycle that would take him to school. Because I wanted to protect him, I said, Son, can you not go to school? to which he replied, Mom, dont worry. Jesus will take care of me. With these simple words, my son challenged me.

I know that the Lord willed for Josiah to join VOHCS because He not only desires to nurture my son but He also wants to nurture us through him. During Friday parent meetings, I am able to pick up many new insights from other parents who share the transformation that they see in their children. I would tell them that I am not the one who is helping my son change. Instead, he is the one changing me.

Though it is sad that we will be parting ways, there is joy in my heart, as I know that there is joy in everyones, because we all had a meaningful year together. Thank you and may the Lord bless us all! Translated excerpt from a VOHCS parents testimony during VOHCS Cabanatuans 2nd Moving Up Ceremony Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, March 22, 2013
